ha! Heard this song just yesterday on a jukebox lol. I got so sick of this song too way back in the day. But hey, SO DID SHARONA. :D




Eventually, Alperin left her boyfriend and got together with Fieger. She traveled the world with the band, including stops at Budokan in Japan, enjoying her newfound fame. "The best thing was that people knew how to pronounce my name," she says. When the song became omnipresent, she admits she "got sick of hearing it, but never got sick of the situation and what happened to me."

There were a lot of comparisons between them and the Beatles being made at the time which I never understood.

I had never heard that one.

Quite honestly for some reason the music of the late 70's just didn't register much with me... Not like it should have. I become much more interested with advent of MTV.
