After watching the game again, one thing seems clear to me. Terrell Owens IS here to help the team win games. No question about it.

He is taking a leadership role on this team that he never had in SF or Philly. He is upbeat and aggressive all at once. He likes Romo @ QB that is clear. He is preaching the merits of Jason and Julius and Terry and reminding everyone that he is aware of the weapons this team has and how they all should be used.

I think BP has reached out to Owens and they have had the heart to heart that they needed to have. TO is now a BP guy. TO is an egomaniac and will always be one, but the fact remains the guy is a tremendous, tremendous football player and I think he now recognizes that is what he wants his legacy to be, not one of "what could of been".

He reminds of Irvin more and more each week, demanding more from his fellow teammates and showing belief and desire to win. I think he knows BP is close to the end of his career and he wants to thank him with a Super Bowl championship for saving his career.

BP may or may not have been the deciding force in bringing Owens into the Cowboys fold, but let me remind everyone BP wanted nothing to do with Terry Glenn either.

The Carolina game was the 1st chapter of an entirely new book. We have spotted the NFC three games which we should have won. Look for the Cowboys and especially Owens to play closer to potential than ever before. The team's confidence is growing along with Owens' impact.

We have a tough road ahead of us, but it is doable. We have the talent. We have the coach. We have a new QB that will take care of the football and put it in hands of the playmakers on this club.

If we can get out of this road trip 6-3, anything is possible. Owens will have his opportunity to show why he was brought here. It says here he will make the most of it, and look for him to be a team leader through the day we open our new stadium in '09, which I believe will be the final year of his career.

On the leader role - I agree
Wanting to help team win - I agree, no doubt
Loves Romo - Yes
Talks up teammates - Agreed, He has more than once
BP reaching out to TO - I agree. I believ it happened. There is a connection that would not be there if not for a heart to heart. IMO.
TO reminds of Owen - Yes
BP being in on bringing TO in - up to this point we are all going on media perception - no one knows. I actually think BP was fully onboard. TO=Football value=W
Caronlina game - starts a new chapter... no a movement... The Romo Movement LOL
This team will start to Gel... TO will get in a zone and Romo will lock in on all his weapons

To me... its a new season... 10 games in total... we are 1-0 with 9 to go

I think you're a little premature with this one. Give him a couple of games with 2 catches, throw in a loss and watch how he acts. I hope you're right but it's funny his "good behavior" coincides with getting a few more balls thrown his way. I'll believe he's changed when he has to deal with some adversity.

Well, he's already been underutilized in a couple of losses this year. Aside from a couple of marginal comments, he hasn't done anything to make me believe that he is a cancer on this team. He may have merely hinted to the obvious in that Bledsoe wasn't getting it done, and that he wasn't seeing the ball enough. How many of us said those exact things in this forum?

I've seen other players make worse comments on other teams, yet they get no press. Does the media really care what bums like Steve Smith and Chad Johnson ("Ocho Cinco") really have to say? T.O. is far more interesting. Teams like the Bengals and Panthers garner far less interest from the media than Dallas.

now that you mention it, TO's sideline demeanor did remind me of Irvin's, though they have different styles at WR. I think TO is the guy Romo hopes to see open, but he's bright enough to throw where the play is designed. And yes it seems Bill and TO might be bonding a bit - its still early on this one and i'll withhold judgement for now. but its looking good. its nice that our young QB has the best WR in the league to throw to, as well as his other assorted targets. and now we'll see Witten involved again, and yeah he's pretty darn good too...

He was underutilized. We were in all those games to win and Drew couldnt get it to him. I would get frustrated too. I dont blame TO on that.

He hinted and he was right. Also.. dont think that others werent feeling the same way (ie. Witten)... many on here said it.. many were right

I mean really... its common sense... we got TO for his playmaking ability and we were using it... it cost a few games..... that we now HOPE that Romo can make up for by growing up real fast and playing better than even he feels he can.

I hesitate to describe TO as a "leader" on this team but clearly a lot of good things were happening on the sidelines (on the field as well in the 4th quarter). TO is one of the veteran guys on the team and is very vocal (unlike Glenn and Bledsoe for example). They have had some adversity and responded well. I want to see them respond well to success.

TO is and always will be a cancer, and it's very clear to me that he played a role in Bledsoe's demise. As Romo gets more playing time and starts to find Witten it's only a matter of time before TO starts to flap his big mouth again.

This is hardly the case. I don't buy that TO had anything to do with Bledsoe's benching. Here are my reasons why:

1) Romo got lots of playing time in preseason. Why would BP do this? Clearly it was to prep him for the regular season in 2006, regardless of what he says. The ineptness of the o-line may have been the reason to prep another QB.

2) Bledsoe has never been the same since the preseason game against Minnesota & the second half of week 1 against the Jags. Perhaps there is an injury to him that has been kept under wraps. There were rumors of back problems, and a documented concussion against the Vikings.

3) The o-line played more of a role in Bledsoe's benching than TO could have ever played. It appeared to me that the o-line quit on Bledsoe in the Giants game. We don't know what went on in the locker room at halftime during that game, and we will probably never know.

4) It is my belief that TO has less stroke on this team than many of us would believe. Do you honestly think a 14 year vet like Bledsoe would let TO get in his head?

Do you have amnesia. Sooner or later TO will be back. It was one game and they won. A few weeks ago after catching 3 touchdowns he was praising Bledsoe. A loss and a week later he was happy Bledsoe lost his job. Roma could be a good quarterback, but sooner or later when he becomes more that TO's personal passer, To will turn on him. TO will never be a leader because he's selffish and only cares for himself. Once again if he had practiced during preseason he and Bledsoe may have made a better combination.

Sooner or later it will happen. I'm rooting for Romo, but somehow memories of Garcia and Donovan are still alive. He's a cancer and there's no cure. TO and Andy Reid were all lovey dovey and we know what happened.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

TO has thrown Garcia, McNabb and Bledsoe all under the bus....Romo is no better than any of them so common sense tells me that a blow up is imminent.

We are not the Eagles and 49ers, and Parcells is not Andy Reid or Steve Marriuci.

The Cowboys organization did a tremendous job of handling the overdose issue earlier this season. If they can handle that media circus, then they can handle anything TO.
