I am trying to come up with a loss worse than this one considering what was on the line and not only against a wounded team but one that kept dropping key players for periods of time during the game and fought harder than the starters for the Cowboys.

I do think the team that wanted it the most won it and that is hard to accept and explain. Why do the Must Win games for the other teams end up being just that?

We can blame the owner, the coaches but this one really rests on the players. They came out as if they were playing for nothing. They think the Giants will do their dirty work for them?

This game was reminiscent, not in the score, but in the same lack of desire that that game that ended the season with a 44-6 loss to the Eagles. They didn't play like they wanted to extend their season. And if they want a new HC, they sent that message loud and clear.

I wonder how one ex player felt watching that game? I wonder how Emmitt felt about Elliott tapping out when he played with a separated shoulder and not as a decoy but as the main weapon? His using that tackle as an excuse is nothing more that that as he has tapped out too much this year.

After that game ended, I was sad, not angry. I can remember when there were Cowboys. I can remember when I had pride in them even in a loss. I became an exclusive fan of this team in that loss in the Ice Bowl. I can only imagine what those warriors were thinking as they watched that. Their entire team didn't get paid as much as the RB for this team and they refused to leave the field.

I am ashamed of this team, they have no heart.

Those 3 teams combined were missing as many starters as the Eagles, I disagree.

Depends on what you say by worse, the boys had 1st and goal against the Vikes and got nothing, they got crushed by the jets who who were an embarrassment at that time, keep in mind how many losses against teams that were missing key players, Adams, Brees, thielen..

I'm ashamed of this team too. I agree with your overall point. The body language of the players reminded me of that 44-6 loss. Watching them today I just got the feeling that they are going through the motions and wanting the season to end.

The player I'm most ashamed of is Zeke. He wanted to be the most paid at his position. Well if you're going to hold out and cause as much drama then your play has to back it up. He had what? 50 yards tonight? For all the drama he brings to the table with his suspension, hold out, his dad and the endangered african cat. All of Zeke's drama isn't worth it anymore. I'm getting sick of Zeke. Is it me or has anyone else noticed that if Zeke has a quiet offseason we have a good year. If Zeke is a problem in the offseason then we have a bad year. I wish we played hardball with him and let him sit out. We'd probably have the same record or close to it.

worse loss since....Green Bay play-off loss...'16 considering we had home field thru out....and that doesnt happen every year.....and we came out flat and lethargic....made a helluva run at the end but if the 1st half had been different???

or the loss to seattle in '17 @home with play-offs on the line and the botched goalline sequence...not running Zeke.

I realize players play and are responsible to execute plays, formations, schemes, etc. But what we’ve seen almost all year and at critical other times the last decade is way more than that.

It’s the culture. And it starts in Sugar Daddy’s office and trickles down. I’ve never seen a man in charge of a results/scoreboard type organization that makes more excuses for failure. If the leader of an organization allows himself to get away with making big decisions with no responsibilities for the results, a debilitating cancer takes root.

Yep the players wearing a star sucked today. But the “suck” we saw today has its root a long time ago and it’s started in the owners box.

Get outta here we are a 7-8 football team,Y’all act like we’ve been good or something this year.

Always love your insight coach with that being said I believe it starts at the top. The culture from the top Is overbearing and neuters it’s coaches at every possible turn. Soft coaches will breed soft players. Jerry or Booger if you prefer lol is a softy at heart and is loyal to a fault. The accountability is wavering at best and his determination to do things his way hinders building a strong foundation. The one area where “Booger” is adamant is the continuance of doing things his way regardless of the result. It’s quite the conundrum and he is the only one that can change the the record that continues to play the same song over and over again. Him doing this would mean taking a step back and hiring the proper personnel to do the things necessary to win with as little input from him as possible. I do not have confidence that he can put his ego and will to win his way aside to win at all cost. The new coach if there is one will be a strong indicator of how serious he is with winning.

Weird thing is, losing that game was the only way they'd be able to say they beat a playoff team in the regular season. (That could still change, of course).

I can't remember a season that came down to week 17 where that was the case, though it's probably happened.

Jerry should do us all a favor....and step away as well. Admit the time has come for new leadership.....

This team doesn’t have that championship pedigree. The Egirls better understood the moment. They still had enough players who have been there before. And a QB who rose up to the moment.

Our best talent left the plays on the field which could have won or at least extended this game but were unable to rise up overcoming poorly thrown balls and dropped passes.

The #1 offense which is over hyped proved again when its reduced one dimensional is easily contained from scoring.

And now 0-8 after trailing at halftime this year have no comeback mode in them which I’m sorry my Cowboy friends but is on the QB. If you want to be considered a great or clutch QB you must be able to make the throws to lead the team back.
