A unique mock I did that of a situation where the Cowboys drafted all players I hate lol (Using all players they have shown interest in at some point or another so this could actually happen)

Round 1: Kony Ealy - (DE, Missouri)

Round 2: Jordan Matthews - (WR, Vanderbilt)

Round 3: Jackson Jeffcoat - (DE, Texas)

Round 4: Cyril Richardson - (OG, Baylor)

Round 5: CJ Fiedorowicz - (TE, Iowa)

PLEASE NO! lol

As long as Manziel and Ebron aren't on there it's not a nightmare to me.

If we got Ealy in a trade back and there was an extra 3rd round DT in there like Quarles or Reid I actually wouldn't be upset with the draft at all. Jeffcoat is the only player there I really dislike for our team.

Round 1: Kony Ealy - (DE, Missouri) - Things went wrong

Round 2: Jordan Matthews - (WR, Vanderbilt) - Don't hate this, but not what I would do
Round 3: Jackson Jeffcoat - (DE, Texas) - I like Jeffcoat here
Round 4: Cyril Richardson - (OG, Baylor) - No thanks
Round 5: CJ Fiedorowicz - (TE, Iowa) - My biggest problem with this is what it says about Hannah and Escobar

I did not see a lot of UT this year. What is it about Jeffcoat that many dislike?

I just don't see him as a very effective full time 4-3 DE in the NFL. He's undersize at 250 lb's and is a good, but not great, athlete. I see him as a guy who will occasionally beat an OT with a speed rush around the end, but won't be very effective at much else as a DE. I'm not saying Jeffcoat can't find a home and be useful player somewhere, but I see a ton of better options to use a 3rd round pick on.

If the Cowboys take Ealy at #16, then they've failed the draft.

No way should he go that early.

At #31? Yeah, I'd consider that in a trade-down situation and getting an extra 3rd where they would take a DT, S or OT.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Round 1: Kony Ealy - (DE, Missouri)

A nightmare for sure. Slow off the ball, better fit inside, a real flop if it happens.

Round 2: Jordan Matthews - (WR, Vanderbilt)

Good solid receiver, but I cannot understand why he is rated so high by some people in a very good WR group. Far too many people mention the fact that his mother is Jerry Rice's cousin and think that bloodline matters. Are you kidding me? I would take him in the third, maybe.

Round 3: Jackson Jeffcoat - (DE, Texas)

Earliest I would take him would be in the third. He knows how to rush the QB and was productive. Unlike Matthews, you can use the bloodline argument here. Biggest issue I have is that he is a splash rusher. In other words, does nothing for long periods of time, gets a sack or something and then people think he was a difference maker in the football game after looking at his stat sheet.

Round 4: Cyril Richardson - (OG, Baylor)

Biggest issue I have with Richardson is the type of offense he played in at Baylor. Quite simply, it has not been conducive to producing NFL quality linemen. Two recent high round busts have come out of the program and that suggests something is awry.

Round 5: CJ Fiedorowicz - (TE, Iowa)

I find no fault with the player or position here. He is the best "all around" TE in this draft. In other words, he can block like you want in a TE and he is not horrible catching the football. If you do not want to do fancy things with your TE and he is the fourth receiving option in your pass catching hierarchy, you could do a lot worse.

Appreciate the insight.
