I can't blame the man for trying to save his QB, but what a totally ignorant and costly way to do it :banghead:

To me, it was the fact that he went right for the hold. I can forgive the guy if he whiffed and held or had realized he was beat and the only way to save Romo from a viscous hit was to hold. He just went for the hold from the get go, no intent to block the man legally.

Colombo would(will) struggle against a beast like Orakpo too but he'd at least try to block him legally.

yea all he had to do is put his big *** body in front of him

give him one punch

game over

no kidding. :bang2:

3 man rush against 5 linemen with a back to chip, no excuse to give up pressure much less have to hold.

this guy is NOT a RT. He cannot anchor. He has NO confidence that he can acnhor. If he did, all he had to do was stick his legs in the ground and absorb a few hits. But he was to afraid that he would get bowled over.

Alex Barron is no Cowboy. He is only a chump wearing the Cowboys uniform.

Thats the play Garrett called.

The foo' didn't even try. It's not like that was his last resort. That was his first option.

all he had to do was shield him out, Romo would've stepped up when the play broke down and it would've happened the same way. If the pass didn't go to Roy, someone else would've been open when the play broke down.

The man is lazy. He doesn't play with technique. He should have pushed him wide of the Romo, but instead he becomes his necktie.

It looked to me if he didn't mug him Barber would have been able to help him.
As it was Barber would have had to hit Barron to get to the defender.

I told my wife the same thing.

I'm sure he would have liked to win the game, but he does not bleed blue and silver so it is no big deal to him in the long run.

That's Barron's sleeper hold technique.

Trying to save his QB???? He went for the chokehold right off the snap. How about make an attempt to block first, THEN if beat try to save your QB. The guy is a mental midget. He completely folded mentally when the game was on the line. Hudson Houck should rip this guy to pieces in the film room when the OLine watches this particular play. After humiliating him in film study, THEN CUT HIM!!!

Look I'm no offensive lineman, but i dont think they teach you at any level to lunge forward in pass-protection, completely losing your leverage while trying to bear hug the rusher around the neck. I can see if he even attempted to sit down in good pass-pro got beat and then grabbed Orakpo. At least that can be explained with some common sense.

I agree and it makes Barron's hold even more ridiculous:(
