I had a little time on my hands and I did some research on the head-to-head matchups. I counted the amount of times the Cowboys swept both games from their divisional opponents in a season and vice versa.

I only counted the seasons where the teams played at least twice that NFL season.

Against the Giants
Cowboys 20 - Giants 10

Against the Eagles
Cowboys 18 - Eagles 10

Against the Commanders
Cowboys 17 - Commanders 5

Dallas is 55-25 in their division sweeps. Not bad.

So in 30 seasons either the Cowboys or the Giants have won both games? That more sweeps than I would have expected.

Did you notice how the Cowboy/Commander sweeps are considerably less?
I think that says something about the nature of this great rivalry. So many times the team with the better record has lost a game to its rival that is struggling.

Just think, one of the five times Washington swept Dallas was 1995 - the year where Dallas won their last Super Bowl.
