The Yin and Yang that is Dakota Prescott

I'm sure many of you have noticed, but why does he drop back so far? If he was more mobile, I would somewhat understand.

The Dak criticism comes from his contract. He was never going to live up to being the highest paid player in the league. It’s hard to fault him for that, but we do.

You saw the best and the worst of Dak yesterday. He had many times where he held the ball too long and threw into coverage. The INT was an especially bad throw.

But he also had times where he threw perfectly accurate passes on the skinny post routes, and at times used his feet to make things happen (especially in OT). The one thing that I like about Dak is it’s obvious he cares a lot.

I have been impressed of late by Dak's toughness and the way he is staring down defenders.
Two games in, Dak seems more accurate and more in command.

Yet me lords ...

I have images of good and bad.
He of late is threading a needed 1st down to Fergie and nice throws to Pickens, Lamb and Tolbert.

Then there is a sack, a fumble and hurries albeit all in a win.

How do you good lads and lassies see our iconic and divisive QB?
Are you, like me, warming up to Dak?

Holla
He’s a loser.

You’ve watched him for a decade. If he’s still fooling 10 years in then that’s on you, bro.

These posts will be fun to revisit later in the season.

The next big matchup Week 4.

He is who he is, has been, and always will be. The next time I Smile At The Mention of his name will be the day he leaves Dallas

Dak is a legit starting Qb in the NFL.
And he started the Eagles game 100% game ready.

Ive been a critic of him but i always give him credit when its due.

My fear is that when hes peaking the rest if the roster doesn't match it.

Its not much different from the peak of the Romo years

The only constant has been Jerry's team building. Players and coaches have come and gone but the only constant has been the GM

Dak, like Romo before him, plays in an offense that puts up points. Unfortunately, Dallas' defense has not been good for many years.

30+ years between selecting a DT in the 1st round. They dont value that position like they do offensive lineman and I have no idea why

Classic Dak performance, yesterday. Looked great at times and looked terrible at other times. The story of his career.

I agree with the sentiment but IMO we didn't see the "worst" of Dak!! :muttley:

I'm going to give Dak credit, he has played well to start the season. He has gotten in better shape & appears willing to help out with his legs when an opening appears.

Having said that, he is always going to be yin & yang player. It's just who he is.

He has got away with two game ending interceptions in back to back weeks. At some point, defenders will actually catch those balls and on the box score he will have 3 interceptions with people slamming how he played in that game when he most likely just played to similar levels in previous weeks only difference being that defenders actually caught the interceptions.

He has been more aggressive and made some excellent throws in the first two games but as he isn't a natural pocket passer there have been some errant throws with the ball flying around to be caught by defenders. It should make for good entertainment if nothing else.

Packers in week 4 will be epic.

Maybe my eyes need adjustment.........don't we need to be examining or recognizing the glaring flaws all over the place that need fixing or improvement......our QB ain't at the top of that list.

yes, he got away with some things down the stretch yesterday.

that has always been the problem, he's just not a natural thrower.
