Pick 9: Prince Amukamara, CB
The only reason people doubt Amukamara is because Patrick Peterson exists and Youtube captured a terrible half against a future Top 15 pick.
Pick 40: Danny Watkins, OG
I love the kid. He's tough, mean and tenacious. Virtually impervious to the bull rush and works till the whistle, and sometimes past it.
Pick 71: Kenrick Ellis, DE
Huge, athletic DE to play on Spencer's side and free him up a bit to make more plays. Character is an issue to be considered seriously, of course, but obviously I think it's worth the risk.
Pick 110: Marcus Gilbert, RT
Experienced tackle that hasn't gotten a heck of a lot of press in the draft process but worked out well at the combine.
Pick 143: Mark Herzlich, ILB
I actually don't really think he'll be there at 143, but much like Brandon Spikes from a year ago, people don't think he has the speed but the kid is a gamer.
Pick 176: Shiloh Keo , SS
I had the gratuitous Hynoski pick here, but I had to replace him with Keo who showed better hips than I expected at the combine. This kid is a hard worker
that's passionate about the game and shows natural leadership to go with his hard nosed style.
Pick 219: Chris Neild, NT
Is it better than Price? I have no idea, but at pick 219 that's pretty good value for NT depth. Keep those guys rotating so they stay fresh.
Pick 251: Allen Bradford, RB/FB
Always produced at USC when he was healthy, but he can do the job for us as a short yardage specialist. At 5'11" and 242, he's a battering ram and even has some experience at FB.
SIGN: Michael Huff, FS
RESIGN: Gerald Sensabaugh, SS
CUT: Marc Colombo, Terrance Newman and Marion Barber
Comments welcome, of course. I still have no idea what I want to do with that 1st pick, I keep flipping between a few guys.
