Almost each pick is faster than average for their position.

Elliot - RB - 4.47
J. Smith - LB- No # but can definitely get sideline to sideline.
Collins DT - 311 Lbs running a 5.03
Tapper DE - 270 running a 4.5 (Von Miller ran 4.5ish at 240)
Dak - QB - 4.7...plays faster than this time.
Brown CB- 4.3
Frazier SS- 4.5
Jackson RB - 4.3

I know speed isnt everything, but this seems to be by design. It also helps alot on special teams.

I was thinking this myself particularly here on day 3. I like these guys who have a chance to develop as opposed to the slug who is a 'coach's dream' like some of our previous picks.

Dallas and Seattle have been big believers in SPARQ for a while now.

I have been saying for years that the team lacked speed , especially the defense. If they run a 4-3 defense, above average speed is a must.

And something we lack is overall team speed....this is good, thanks for posting this info.

All around solid draft, potentially epic if Collins, Smith, and Tapper pan out.

Speed is rarely a prerequisite to greatness in the NFL, outside of a few positions. Before Al Davis died, they routinely drafted the fastest guys at the position, and they were terrible.

We've never been a team that has had successful slow DBs like the Shermans or Normans. Other positions are fine, but all slow DBs we've drafted have been pretty terrible. Mo Claiborne being the biggest culprit, but that might be due to playing him in the wrong system after bringing in Kiffin/Marinelli. Whenever we drafted for speed it usually panned out.. Scandrick, Byron, TNew, Jenkins (sort of... tackling was a huge problem but coverage was pretty good).

I don't know how it's gonna work out for DLine, but I like Tapper's potential. All in all, I like the draft philosophy.

You can't teach speed. Now they need to teach players that they aren't important until they prove other wise. Treat them they way they play. If a first rounder is terrible tell the world...and then cut em if they can't measure up. If the 7th rounder is all world...treat em like a king. I'm so sick of the wasted time. Anyhow...great insight...Go Boys!

If they can play and they move fast.... Let's hope they can play.

Quick, fast and in a hurry should be the motto. Score ton of point and knock other players out of the game...Have players afraid to even suit up...and make no apologies for wanting to end careers not from injuries, but from the lack of will. Just my opinion.
