All for it. Outdated, especially compared to the other pro sports.

And makes the game more exciting to allow more moves later in the season as teams are separated.

It helps both the winner and the loser. Winner gets more support going to Tourney, loser gets more draft picks to rebuild.

To say it would make ratings worse for the loser, well, what about the teams that will now gain someone to replace their IR injury? How many teams lost a season because of the wrong injury to the wrong player late in the year and they couldn’t replace him? Most teams in the salary cap era have spotty depth at best. Leads me to my original point, it’s just an outdated rule, extend it much later.

Yep, the NFL is missing the boat on the trade deadline.


I also think they need to put in rules/exceptions that would allow teams to exceed the cap for deadline deals. Cap Boy would hate it.
