The Green Bay Packers. :banghead:

Woodson is done, Williams has completely fallen off a cliff, Shields is no better than Scandrick. Man they really miss Nick Collins.

Greenbay Offense has been covering for that defense all year they been in a lot of shot outs this year that they managed to win.

Why are you surprised

Just goes to show you 1 thing......

It's an offensive league right now.

GB #1 Seed 32 ranked D
NE #1 Seed 31 ranked D

They're still not worse than ours. They may give up passes but they play aggressive and force plenty of turnovers. Our DBs are so out of position that they're not even close to getting INTs or stripping the ball.

No way there as bad as ours. They showed a stat that the packers led the league on takeaways. San fran was second. We are not close tO either when we can get any turnovers. We need playmakers big time

They also get lucky with a number one offense in the NFL backing them up. There's a reason their defense was last in the league ... their pass rush is terrible, worse than ours.

Plus, if they are in position, they still couldn't catch cold.

True, but it is kinda amazing how far they've fallen off this year, in terms of yards and points given up.

The Packers had 31 interceptions during the regular season -- eight more than any other team. They were in the top 10 in passer rating against and tied for 13th in adjusted yards allowed per attempt.

Their opponents throw the ball a lot, and they give up yards, but they also make a lot of big plays.

Yeah, because both teams jump ahead and then give up a lot of yards they don't care about. In scoring D, both are pretty average and that much better reflects their level of play.

Thank you.

Here's the stat that matters:

Defensive Passer Rating
Packers 9th
Cowboys 25th

....end of thread.

when a QB gets the time Eli gets, they can make ANY secondary look bad, they cant cover forever....

Packers scored 21 against Philly last year and won in the playoffs. Packers scored 21 against the Bears last year and won in the playoffs. They scored 20 against the Giants today.

Once in while, ANY team has to count on their defense to help win a game once in a while.

The Packers had the 2nd worst defense (yardage wise) in the HISTORY OF THE NFL and the worst passing defense (yardage wise) in the HISTORY OF THE NFL and it caught up with them just like it did at KC.

The Packers offense is great, but even the greatest offenses are going to have off days -- more than likely in the playoffs. I have no idea how the Packers defense which looked pretty darn good last year and star-studded became, in one year, the one of the historically worst defenses in the history of the NFL -- Cullen Jenkins and Nick Collins not-withstanding.
