There is elite talent on defense in this draft

I hear people saying that there isn't elite talent on defense in this draft. They are wrong. There is some elite talent, we just don't know who it will be. I think that there will be several players that will turn out to be elite.

There is some depth, but doesn't have much top end, elite talent. Down year for both Edge and Defensive Tackles.

Surtain and Horn are solid 1st round CBs but lack the athleticism and twitch to be considered IMO. I don't even like the idea of either at 10.

If Farley didn't have the injury concerns he's close for me but I still wouldn't put him up there with someone like Okudah who came out recently.

Farley has red flags. Didn't play this year, injuries, and lack of understanding position knowledge.

When you look at the positions, they is usually a top 5 pass rusher, top 5 corner and top 5 defensive Tackle. There is expected to be any defensive players taken until the end of the top 10. It is quite possible, not one defensive player is taken.

Sure, there will be some surprises, but on paper this looks like a weak defensive draft without many blue chip prospects.

I knew fully well how his NFL career would turn out. I knew he would be a superstar when everyone else thought he would fall to us.I was basically driving the band wagon. And if we didn't get Zack Martin it would've hurt twice as bad.

I like both but I agree. I feel if this was another draft they wouldn’t be as high as they might possibly go.

I think Chase is a top 5 prospect. All these QB’s ain’t rated higher than Parsons. But the need at the position means they’ll be taken before him. Lawrence and Wilson yes. Fields and Lance no

From a talent perspective I think the top 5 are below in no particular order:

Lawrence
Sewell
Chase
Pitts
Parsons

That being said, teams overdraft QBs and other positions like crazy so we might see Parsons / Pitts available at 10.
