I awoke this morning hoping to find a shiny new Bentley and awesome Arrington underneath my computer this morning and what did I get Jack Squat. I might be lucky to get a 35 year old center and a retread safety from the Texans of all people at the cheapo after Christmas Sale.

Keep up with that bad attitude, and Santa is gonna give you a TimeOut

Watch it now. You're gonna make me pull out some of those 2004 threads where folks were riding people for having a bad attitude about a lazy offseason. ;)

By the way, speaking of a TO, he logged in at his website last night when free agency hit. He only answered three quick questions. Go figure. Said he was ready to play for a one year or multiple year contract, it didn't matter to him.

Everyone knew we weren't realistically going to get Bentley. Hartwig will be just fine.
And I just don't understand why there were so many people wanting a guy even the crappy Commanders didn't want.

We're better off bringing in solid and less expensive FAs that will make us better. Lest one forgets, we've got our own FAs to coming up to sign in due time: Roy, Witten, and James. Being smart in FA, resigning your own good players, and drafting well is how you build and maintain a team.

Apparently, the rest of the NFC East doesn't agree with you. I guess we'll see who was right when the Playoffs start. There's still time for the Cowboys to make a splash, I just hope they don't jam their roster with more Marco Riveras. Old guys past their prime who are just cap damage waiting to happen. :banghead:

I don't think Pucells is as concerned about the center position as many of us fans are.

And I don't think Arrington is a good fit for us.

I couldn't care less what the other NFC teams are doing. The obsession here with the 'skins is nonsense, but I digress.

Go look at the best teams and see how they opperate. When has going hog-wild in FA won someone a Super Bowl?

And when was the last time we've drafted well enough to want to keep our own FAs?

Exactly.

I've yet to understand the mentality of "Let's Sign Every Name FA Guy."

HTCF, it takes more than just the draft to have a winning team these days. Since we're basically batting .200 over the past five drafts, we need some upgrades in FA.

It may be a bit early in the day, but I'm confident in presenting the Eeyore Award for Saturday, March 11. Congrats!

One player made a difference there. Were not even close to that

Gesus TBC... you usually have a good perspective of things but my friend I think you're getting a bit edgy on this stuff. ;)

Bah... I'm just seeing 2004 all over again. It began the same way. The other teams struck first. We stayed silent telling ourselves it would be okay. "Any day now Jerry, any day. Uhh.... Jerry? Are you there?" :D

Oh, by the way, I was one of the apologists in 2004 too, saying we were doing the right thing. Doh! Signing big names sometimes helps.

I keep checking the news around the league and there doesn't seem to be much movement at all. Heck, within the NFC East theres only be one signing. Don't fret.
