There Is No Scenario Where Dak, CeeDee, And Micah All Get New Deals With Cowboys

Micah will be the highest paid defensive player ever.

CeeDee will want more than Jefferson who just became the highest paid non-QB ever.

Dak will want to be the highest paid player ever.

That would be the highest paid ever at defense and offense PLUS the highest paid non-QB ever all on the same team.

No. Chance.

Which is why you’ve seen them not commit to contracts past this year….why the offensive line is full of rookies, why Gallup isn’t here, why Armstrong is gone, why Tyron is gone, why Pollard is gone……they’re showing you what they are doing.
It's happening right in front of his eyes, yet he refuses to realize why the Cowboys did not resign other veteran players who left this offseason. The Cowboys clearly are going to sign Dak, CeeDee and Micah to record deals.

I think it’s possible, the concern becomes can the fill out the rest of the roster that way?

Not the route I would go, but for Jerry/stephen jones it’s the safe route, and they love to play it safe.

I can see it.

Next year Dallas has 65mil in cap space. 40mil is taken by Dak's dead cap hit, which includes accelerated cap hits from future void years all rolled into 2025. If he's re-signed prior to contact voiding his void year prorated hits stay where they are in in future years. Odds are in 2025 he's restructured again.
Parsons counts for 21mil in cap space in 2025. When Nick Bosa re-signed, his year 1 cap hit was 11mil, even though his AAV was 34mil.

Dallas will continue to restructure players as need be. Always just enough to look broke in March.

Question is how long will they wait on Dak/will they lose faith in him if he remaining unsigned into the season.

They will continue to dumpster dive for a few free agents and rely on the draft for talent/restocking the mid free agents they let walk.

There is no way to fill out the roster if you have the highest paid player ever (Dak), the highest paid defensive player ever (Parsons), and the highest paid non-QB ever (Lamb).

Thats like 50% of the cap on 3 players. It’s unrealistic to think all 3 get signed by us.

You have no idea what the cap is or how their deals are structured to even make such a claim.

It is possible they get it done, but no team has attempted anything like this.

CD’s price is around 35m$ AAV. Micah’s price is around 35m$ AAV. Dak’s price right now is probably realistically around 55m$+ AAV.

Think about all of the teams that have 30+m$ non QB’s. Tyreek Hill, Dolphins. Nick Bosa, 49ers. TJ Watt, Steelers. Justin Jefferson, Vikings.

None of those teams have another nonQB making 30+m$. And even further, none of them have a QB making 50+m$.

The Eagles have a 50m$ QB and a 30+m$ WR whose extension from 25m$ doesn’t start for another 3 years. The Lions have a newly minted 50m$ QB and a 30m$ WR. And still no team with multiple 30+m$ nonQBs.

Those are the closest to what Dallas is doing, but they’re still worlds away from having 2 Baker Mayfield contracts and a Joe Burrow contract all on the same team. If Dallas does this, they will be re-writing salary cap strategies for everyone. It will be the singular litmus test for if anyone would ever attempt this again.

Dallas ain’t doing that.

There’s a clear odd man out. Some just refuse to see and accept it.

Nobody likes letting good players leave but that's part of why the cap exists. Keeps any team from just buying all the best players & spreads out the talent for parity.

I'm a team builder, focused on winning on the field so what I would do is probably different than what the "marketing" clowns will do. But how can I argue with all their championships?

Sewell, St Brown, Goff? In 26 they will be almost 50 percent of the cap…
