I think Chip would be in the same position today regardless of Mesean Jackson staying or leaving.
That guy is a cancer. I hate the eagles but I am glad they decided to part with an arrogant guy like Mesean Jackson.
Don't forget this guy was asking for another new contract after last year when they cut him. He was fairly early in his contract and honestly was underperforming his deal and he had the nerve to ask for more money.

Everything around Jackson stinks and the fact that he is so happy to be where he is while his team is one of the worst teams in the league just shows his personality.

Chippy is arrogant - but in a nice way. He's certainly not Buddy Ryan and he's got a self effacing personality that seems likable - but all you have to do is consider he had a cornerback who got absolutely torched in the three biggest games of the season and never once tried to give him some help. I know he's not the defensive coordinator but he's the head coach.

That was arrogance.

So what if DeSean Jackson cost the Eagles the playoffs? DJ isn't going to the playoffs and wasn't in position to advance to the playoffs, unlike the Eagles.
At least Philly was in the running. DJ is just running his mouth and showing he hasn't moved on and is still butt-hurt for being let go.

I am as glad as anyone that the eagle are butt sore and out of the running.

However DJ is a punk. He might play well but he is a punk and nothing but trouble. He will never be about the team, he will only be about himself and his need for another contract.

Whether Chip and the Eagles go on to do well or go on to Phailadelphia ...getting rid of DJ was the right thing to do.
