There's no blueprint here

and most teams can NOT execute it for 60mins..not one bounce or one break went our way..we played horribly..thats it
No doubt. But how much was it self inflicted or aided by them ?

We had an opportunity to take an early lead but passed and lost early momentum. How big are those decisions?

The Dallas Cowboys have a 6-16 record with Ezekiel Elliott when rushing for <100 yards and rushing for <100 yards all-time.

Ezekiel Elliott is 26-4 with the Cowboys when rushing for 100+ yards in his career.

https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask/cowboys-record-when-ezekiel-elliott-rushes-for-100-yards

There's a formula for sure and its STOP Zeke and win the game!!!!!!!!!!!!
right because if we decided every game to give it to zeke 30 times just top get to 100 and do nothing else its win..we would do that every game and get to 100 whether it 2.8YPC..zeke had 5.1 YPC and 51 yards and a some catches..he could have got 100 if they stayed with the run but im sure of it the score dictated more passes and even more mostly because the defense gave up 190 yards rushing and 30 points they had 41mins TOP got the tos and stopped everything not just zeke..the OL , wrs, defense and coaching all had hand in losing..

those stats are misleading becaause it leaves out the rest of the story and many of those losses came last year with not many players left to play OL or defense.used 4 qbs ..so again stat is flawed like the poster.

cant win many games that way and zeke wasn't the answer..get passed that dak trolling..there are far more stats within these losses to why we lost..

Exactly.. the entire team save for one or two guys came out sleep walking and kept sleep walking all game. It's not the first time and it won't be the last. Their lack of energy was pretty noticeable after Pollard's big early return. They played the game in a fog and really never came out of it. It's happens.. all you can hope for is that it doesn't happen in the playoffs..
most teams have hardy time getting up for 21 games. Its natural or what all teams would be undefeated every year..many teams have bumps in the road along the way to even a great season and this was game 1 there will be others. Hope we get them out by the playoffs and have nice playoff run..
I can care less about a handful of games we lose..make the playoffs is goal one..4th seed is still good one home game..

last 2 years 8-8., 6-10 no playoffs and we have fans whine over a 6-2 start..smdh

Many teams have tried the blueprint but most have failed. Many factors have to align.

Stifling our offense early appears best method especially if we fall behind. This year we’ve gotten off to faster starts and it’s been extremely difficult to execute blueprint when you’re trying to play catch-up .

I didn't say it would work. I just said the Falcons will try it. This same game plan has not worked at all this year against Dallas. Every time the opponent tried to take away the run, Dak responded by throwing for a million yards and multiple TDs. Against Denver, Dak had a bad day and so did his receivers.

They need to throw this game away and move on to the Falcons game, with 1 exception. Clean up that lousy tackling which has been visible for the entire year. I am sick of seeing Cowboys defenders dragged for 5 yards by a determined ball carrier. Every ball carrier is determined. Tackle him properly and that determination will mean nothing. Tackle him around the shoulder pads and he will drag you 5 yards or more.

only blueprint is have all but maybe 2 players play the worst they have played all year on that Sunday...every other team has tried but failed. If the world thinks Fangio knows anything about football, they will see in the off season when he gets turfed

Unfortunately it’s going to be difficult to clean up on defense. We simply don’t have the talent throughout. We do have some starters returning though on DL which should help.

We rely on our offense to carry us. It’s our strength. And whatever turnovers our defense can provide.

We can’t continue giving up momentum from poor decisions on 4th and short which is aiding lesser opponents.

Id argue other opponents have tried the blueprint as well like recently with Pats and Vikes which slowed us enabling them a better path to victory but didn’t stop us.

Something uncanny happened Sunday. It was more than just about the blueprint. Let’s hope it was just one of those isolated games we laid an egg.

I really didn't mind the first one because it was that or risk an 18 yard net punt or a 55 yard FG which if you missed would give them the ball right there anyway. The play call was suspect but the decision was actually pretty sound. I would have much preferred a power run verses that read and react crap. The others were really either poor execution or in the case of the overthrow to Lamb, a poor decision by Dak. He should have just run for the one yard and kept the chains moving ..

Have you ever seen a HC in the NFL take these many risk on 4th down in these situations ? Amazing

Note to the NFL, if you think you'll defeat DAL by making them one dimensional ie shutting down the run game, you'll be sadly mistaken.

There's no blueprint here. Dallas got caught smelling themselves. They basically took a second bye week.

Look for ATL to get their butts handed to them. Trust.

There is 100% a blue print as to how teams have successfully slowed down the Cowboys offense. What the Cowboys do about it is another thing.

I can't say I have seen another coach go for it this often but I'm sure McCarthy was pretty aggressive in this way when he had Rodgers too. I think it speaks to his confidence in Dak and Moore. Maybe it's misplaced faith but I'd be tempted to go for it with Dak and Zeke and Coop and CeeDee on my squad too but not if the offensive line is getting whipped.. Which there was no way of knowing on the first one.. but after that.. I think we had seen that we weren't moving them off the ball in short yardage so we had to go pass.. which ordinarily with Dak is easy money.. but he was just off that day..

Tyron Smith being out hurts this O-line a great deal. Steele is not the guy to replace him at LT. I would suggest they return Steele to RT and put Collins or Nsekhe at LT. Other than that change on offense, there is no "blueprint". Oh, one other thing that needs to change is Dak's accuracy. He's overthrowing his WRs way too much.

Come on dude.. He has like 3-4 overthrows all season.. Two in this game.. He was off on Sunday.. it was plain to see. We don't know why.. but I will say this.. Cooper and Lamb both missed a lot of practice time last week with injuries so that might explain why the timing was off. But it doesn't explain everything about how they played. But to now latch onto the accuracy thing is silly. He's had multiple games with single digit incompletions. Hard to do that if one is not accurate. Let's call it a bad day unless he has a repeat performance this week. If this continues then yeah.. we have a problem..

What does Dak having multiple games with single-digit incompletions have to do with his current status? For whatever reason, Dak has clearly regressed. Some say he was rusty after not playing for so long. I'm not so much concerned about the why, I just want him to fix it fast and be the QB we need him to be. Yes, his WRs need to be better too. Your dismissive ridicule, calling me silly for pointing out Dak's accuracy is off is what I find problematic. We are just talking here. How about we keep it in a civil tone? ;)

theres no blueprint for the Rams
theres no blueprint for the Bills

both teams who most would say are better than Dallas

when you dont show up to play like Dallas, LA and Buf did you lose games and you get embarrassed

The blueprint has been out since 2017. Stack the line and force pass. Yesterday we had bad passes and dropped passes and no real effort to get open. I watched Cooper drop one and just shake his head.

I’d like to see some data supporting McCarthy took this many risk at GB on 4th downs .

It's silly because it's been a whole one game yet your'e carrying on like he's been off all season..

In his previous start against New England he completed 70.6 % of his passes and racked up 445 yards. The game before that agaisnt the Giants it was 69.7% for 324 yards.. Sorry but I'm not seeing this trend of inaccuracy you appear to be referencing. He had an off day.. ONE.. Sure if he has more I will be concerned.. But let's not forget that even being as off as he was.. take away the 5 drops and he's over 60% for THIS game.. and god only knows how many more yards and TDs if the receivers had not been suffering the same malaise he was..

I'm not about to do that research.. But we had Pederson in the division for 4 years and he was similarly aggressive on 4th downs as well. I do think it's clear that McCarthy believes in this offense.. and hell he should.. When they're on there is literally no defense on the planet that can stop them. Sunday the did a lot to stop themselves.. Give Denver credit for taking advantage of it.. but the Cowboys couldn't get out of their own way on offense and eventually the defense just got worn down by Denver's running game.

I’m not sold it’s a good strategy . And concerned it could cost us dearly. Just goes against the norm too much in the NFL for me.

If there is a blueprint for the Cowboys, then there is also one for the Rams, the Saints, the Chiefs, the Bills, etc.

Indications are that the league has in fact discovered a blueprint for the Chiefs. Stop the deep ball, and Mahomes loses it. He struggled against this formula in Super Bowl and has been very mediocre this season--bad at times.

Can Patrick adjust?

As for the Cowboys? I'm not worried about blueprints, just Dak's health and team focus.
