Yes the emphamis phrase of one Stephen Jones! Moving along, there's several players on this team that are taking up sizeable portions of our cap. I know all the blame can't go on them, but when you're making that much, you should be living those contract numbers.

What are your thoughts on this. Of course I will get bashed, but at your job you're making a lot of money, I'm sure your boss expects a lot out of you???????!

I believe that most fans should avoid discussing the cap because they'll never understand it.

Only 5 players over 7M for 2022.
- However 3 likely not on the 2023 roster.
- Tyron cap hit at 17.6M in 2023.
- Schultz currently 10.9M.
- Zeke cap hit at 16.7M in 2023.

Jourdan Lewis at 6.1M cap hit for 2023 also might not be on the 2023 roster.

Just as importantly what are u going to do with Parsons? He's going to demand a record contract.
I like the player, but he's getting beat up all ready.
The prudent move is trade him pre draft for a kings ransom. A team that needs a centerpiece to build on might cough up 2 #1s and 2 #2s?
You could haul in a QB and 3 other absolute studs.

I'm willing to bet that every team has a player or two (or five) not living up to their contract. Nothing unique to our team. But yes, in every team sport, if you are making the big bucks, delivering the goods on the playing field should follow. I think we all know that that simply doesn't happen far too often for the fan's liking.

Maybe, but I'd bet that every team don't have back ups out playing the people taking up the largest amount of cap for the Cowboys.

You could literally say this about any team that hasn't won a Super Bowl........most, if not all teams have a core of players eating a major portion of their cap. IF Super Bowl is the ultimate goal, the Cowboy's waste is no different from those teams.

Every NFL team has a few players that take up a disproportionate amount of cap space. Welcome to the NFL.

Remember when we used to run a bunch of stick routes? Well now we are running a bunch of deep in cutting routes. You can't keep calling the same plays week in, week out and expect to have success in this league. Defenses adjust. So is it Dak or is it Moore?

Is it the offense or the defense?

The one gap system is designed to get after the QB. So just by playing the one gap system you will get gashed on the ground. But what if you play the one gap and you're not getting home to the QB? Well now you getting gashed through the air. So is it the offense or the defense?

The Cowboys have been playing the one gap system since they switched to the 4-3. And when your owner, president, and general manager is saying things like he wants a war Daddy...that means he wants to get after the QB. Keep in mind that it is your owner president and general manager that keeps holding on to Kellen Moore. So all of these over paid or under performing players...guess who re-signed them.
