These are the reasons why I feel the Cowboys will finally reach the NFCG

1. No one in the media is going to pick them to win next week

2. The Players will hear all week long how they have no chance to beat the Niners at home

3. This year they are on the road playing SF instead of at home as the favorite last year

4. The Niners defense has looked suspect the last 3 weeks even though they found a way to win at the end

5. The team now has confidence combined with motivation from hearing how they will not win next week which will drive them to win the game
With the way they played tonight, the media will be split this week.

Defense gave up 34 to Sidham and the Raiders so they are not the 2000 Ravens
That's true and I'm not talking anything away from tonight but to underestimate a team that has won 11 in a row going into a Divisional game is the type of trap we always...always fall into.

Let's enjoy the win but let's be real about next week. I'm not saying we can't win...but they are not Tampa.

I'm so glad Dak got a confidence boost with this game. The Cowboys believe they can win and I believe they will. And don't give up on Maher. He may end up kicking the game winner.

The Niners defense has looked suspect and you are going to base this on the last three games...Really?

Let's see for the season...

1. They led the league in defense.
2. They led in total points by almost 70 over second place Philly.
3. They have only allowed 16 PPG. 4 points less than Philly.

I applaud your enthusiasm but we've been here before and the Niners are a monster at every level.

As Parcells taught us: "Don't eat the cheese...yet"

Win next week and then we're talking.
If we Beat niners we are going all the way !

I would so love this. I've never seen us get there, and it'd be so nice to see us reach that level.

Good point. Maher had a nightmarish game tonight, but noticed teammates were rallying to him a bit. It's hard to rehabilitate a kicker in 6 days, but he's a pro and might be a factor as the stakes get higher. (and games tighter)

Well the advantage we DO have is plenty of rest and our DC will be fully focused on this game.

Oh wait….never mind. Thanks Roger, you’ve always been a friend.

If I were McCarthy, I would make a big deal out of giving Maher a game ball just to get him back to right. The team would surround him to build his confidence.
Absolutely not. No participation trophies for these snowflakes. After the 4th! miss... told the wife (and we went to all 3 Super Bowls in the '90s) If Jimmy were still the HC, this kid would have been cut at halftime and book your own flight back to DFW. It appears that this kid cannot kick on real grass. He had better practice this week on the grass fields at the Star here in Frisco because Levi stadium has real grass. Bermuda I believe.

Anyone that has watched the Cowboys this year and isn't an unbiased hater has seen that this years Cowboys team can beat anyone. It's the people here who hate everything about this team saying they can't. They are slowly being swept away thankfully.

Silent now, because deep down they wanted a loss more than a win so they could be right.

This is the what have you done for me lately attitude.

Let's not forget he has been Mr. Consistent. I'd also not assume I know what was wrong tonight. Sometimes even Tiger gets the yips.

Completely agree and I acknowledge that he has had a great season... but now it's the knockout rounds and points are crucial. Games will be close going forward and you cannot miss something as simple as an extra point. This kid should be able to kick an extra point with his eyes closed
