As much as it pains me to say, Dallas is doomed to be only mediocre this year. Despite lots talent, here is why:

1. Wade Phillips - He has not developed mental discipline or toughness in this team. No one is confronted about their mistakes, so no one takes responsibility for their failure to perform. Wade's pattern is pretty consistent. He has never won a playoff game with three teams, including the Cowboys.

2. Tony Romo - He is a good quarterback, but not a great one. He is simply too erratic and unreliable to win consistently in this league. At Tampa he had a 140+ rating. Against the Giants it was 25. He continues to prove that he can't win when the pressure is on. People keep saying to wait until he has experience. But the league is full of QB's who have become reliable after several seasons at the controls. Think of Eli and Ben. Remember that all 32 teams passed on drafting Romo. Now we know why.

3. Our Defense - This goes back to Wade and his soft approach to football.
Consider these facts after two games:

• 26th in points allowed per game (26.5)

• 30th in yards allowed per game (438.5)

• 30th in passing yards allowed (303.0)

• 24th in rushing yards allowed (135.5)

And the Cowboys are the only team with no QB sacks.

The clock is ticking on a new coach to replace Wade and his crew. I just hope we don't waste an entire mediocre season before a change. Can you spell s-h-a-n-a-h-a-n?

Cannot really argue with any of that ...... Hope Romo proves you wrong ..... and I hope we soon have a new coach to help him do it.

You didn't watch any of the postgame player interviews, did you?

I'm sure all teams have fans who over react and cry and slam the the team at every turn. I love how you finish with the the 12 years angle just another cryboy fan. I use to wonder why other teams fans called Dallas that coming here I figured it out.

It's not the Cowboys, it's the head coach that sucks.

Of course, we have to deal with it until this season is over. I'm pretty sure Jerry won't let it go on for a fourth season. Except for Barry Switzer, he usually doesn't let crap coaches stay for more than three years.

If this team fails then Wade deserves to be fired like any HC would however if they don't then he would have earned his job like any other HC would. Right now we all have prediction fine but truthfully not one single person here knows how this season will go based on 2 games.

Why Shanahan? Sorry, no thanks. No rat looking WCO coach for me.

I don't want Shanny either. Holmgren? Ok, not Shanny.
