The professionals in my field do not come to work unprepared, they do their job with a modicum of pride and urgency.

That this this team can play at the level we saw tonight after mailing it in for 6 of the last 12 quarters of football previously is quite frankly, beyond me. While the folks in my business don't play football - they do have important jobs with a lot riding on them and, with very rare exception, perform to capacity. Why our Cowboys do not is a puzzlement.

I don't buy into the "It's all coaching" garbage. IF these people are professionals, that moniker comes with a sense of pride, work ethic and sense of competitiveness .. or at least it should.

The other consideration is that the folks in my business don't have guaranteed money -

Hmmm ... maybe we've found the problem.

Do the folks in your business have other businesses actively trying to keep you from performing your job? That is also a consideration here.

I'm not talking about competition in the marketplace either. For example, if you sold shoes, I doubt you'd have other salesmen from another company actively trying to keep you from selling shoes.

Don't get me wrong- I agree with you about being a professional, however, the other guys are professionals, too, and everyone has the occasional bad day at work.

Do the people in your profession face physical opposition?

We still looked susceptible to the run. If we can clean that up we can play some good football on defense.

The people they play against are professionals also. Sometimes the other team just has your number.

Also are we assuming the Eagles are good?

Why exactly?

TLDR: Enjoy the division win. Go to sleep.

Let me break this down in the simplest way possible:

Healthy Cowboys: 4-0
Not healthy Cowboys: 0-3

If we can stay healthy - we can beat any team in this league PERIOD.

Most professions arent adversarial in nature. If you are a soldier or an athlete, you prepare your best and hope that its better than your counterparts

This applies for just about any Team. Also Eagles had a lot of injuries.

Great Teams find ways to win with Injuries. Ask the Patriots.

Cowboys can only win if everything goes perfect. No Injuries, Zeke in good Form, O-Line performing, Defense getting Turnovers.
