It's just one game, but my optimism for the season is shot.

We looked like the same ol Cowboys who will find ways to lose games. No adjusting, pass-happy, and mistake prone. Just a team who can't make plays on both sides of the ball. Offense makes a play, defense falters. Defense makes a play, offense falters.

Dez had 3 catches for 30 yards and a TD, and he was single covered damn near all night. You've got to be kidding me. Murray had nearly 150 yards, and only had 19 carries, including none on 2nd, 3rd, and 4th down in OT.

It's one game where we got away from what is the winning formula.

The pass play on 2nd and 2 was horrendous though.

We took a true shot in the mouth with this loss. We lost Durant for the year, Romo temporarily, and Leary for the game. The Washington staff was more prepared, and it showed. They also played extremely physical ball from start to finish. And we shot ourselves in the foot on numerous occasions, yet still had a shot at winning. Speaks volumes about this team. Even at it's worst, we can hang around. Got alot of work to do this week, especially in pass protection against blitz packages, because you better believe the Cards will bring it. I HIGHLY doubt we see this same team that lost last night, come out again against Arizona. We'll regroup and make the changes. Next Sunday is the biggest game of the season...every game from here on out is. Gotta have that mentality, can't overlook weaker opponents. Not even J'Ville.
