They don't view Dak as a game manager

Someone said this about Dak on a YouTube comment: "Dak is a good quarterback but he's not the one to make the other players around him better. He cannot put the team on his shoulders and will them to win."

If Dak was on the 49ers I believe they would have won. They have a real organization. They're on their 3rd QB and they don't miss a beat. They have built a real football team.
Not if he threw Diggs two interceptions

Garrapolo base salary in 2022 is only 6.5 million while Daks cap hit is 20 million.

would they have been able to have added impact players in 2022 like McCaffrey with the larger cap hit?

the cap hit always has to be figured in when making these hypotheticals and which players would be around because of it

He's just not a good QB, that's all there is to it.
Yes and no. He has had enough success to qualify as good. But there are levels to this. And they think he is better than he is. Why they think that is because of games like had had in Tampa Bay last week. But a REAL football front office should never become a fantasy football front office. They must watch the tape. They must see how he reacts and plays against certain defenses, against certain defensive coordinators, under conditions when the running game is not there, under conditions when his receivers are overmatched. A REAL front office has to evaluate EVERYTHING. If they did...they would not construct this roster based on EVERYTHING going right....Dak was overwhelmed against the 49ers last year...and the reduced the amount of talent on this offense and he looked just as bad if not worse this year. Does that mean he is a bad QB? I don't think so. But he ain't beating them. He ain't beating them yesterday, today or tomorrow with the way this team is currently constructed.

This front office had a responsibility to respond to how the 49ers dominated us last year...they THINK they addressed it this past offseason. Unfortunately. based on the offseason moves....they did not think Dak was part of the problem. So they did not address that! And them thinking Dak is not part of the problem....IS THE PROBLEM!!!!

Posted that in another thread. The entire SF QB room is on less than 50% of Daks cap hit.

That is why the Dak thing matters.. you simply can't pay that much money to a guy unless he makes up for it by being that much better than everything around him.

There is a reason why we struggle to have 'stars' in support.. too much money tied up in Dak and Zeke for too little production.

A good game managing qb doesn't lead the league in interceptions. Dak holds that mark.

again yes and no. Look at the haul the 49ers gave up for the rights to draft Trey Lance....the philosophy in Dallas would be to MAKE Trey Lance work based on the investment. The Bill Bellichecks and Kyle Shanhanns of the world do not care where you are drafted and what you make....what's best for the on field product is what is done. Heck they did not care that Garapolo went to the Super and the NFC title game in back to back years....they were prepared to move on from him because they did not think he was good enough. We would build a statue for Dak if he went to the Super Bowl and NFC title game in back to back years. We would create commemorative #4 jerseys and sell them to you for $500 as you were parking your car. We are NOT a real football organization....we are a entertainment conglomerate...a memorabilia shop....a clown show!!!!

I don't think Cooper Rush is better than Dak...but let's say he was. Cooper Rush would NEVER see the field over Dak because of their paychecks. That is the difference in how things are done in Dallas. We had Zeke limping around on one leg last year...with Pollard willing and able...but Zeke beat Jerry at the negotiating table...and Jerry was going to make sure he got his money's worth...that is how things are done in Dallas!

Do you think Purdy or Trey Lance enter next years training camp as #1 on the depth chart? If those 2 were in Dallas...who do you think would enter training camp as #1 on the depth chart?

I think he is good, but not near elite and we pay him as an elite QB. Look at the QB's in the playoffs this weekend. Everyone except Brock P is more talented then Dak in every way. Brock is TBD, because San Fran has everything else going for them. Switch the two QB's and put Brock on our team and Dak on San Fran and San Fran wins every time, because they have more talent overall. If Jerry think Dak is going to get better he is dead wrong. What you see is what you get. As Parcells used to say all the time, "It is what is is".

I just got done watching the game again. Couldn't sleep... But I'm sick.

Everyone is down on Gallup. But he was open on every play except for that comeback play where Dak threw the pick. But instead of hitting Gallup, or often times Hilton, on a short route to pick up the first, Dak would get greed and try to pick up 20 instead of 8... Trying to bite off more than the 9ers were going to give him.

We really could have been the better team yesterday. We even had the offensive skill players to do it, even after Pollard went down. Dak just couldn't get his head on right. And that game was 100 percent on him, as much as I've been a supporter of his since last year. He had the dogs to do it this year. We had the talent to win this thing. We just didn't. If we would have gotten blown out by superior talent, that'd be one thing. But that isn't what happen. Dak beat us.

Dak’s performance yesterday was unacceptable. But Dak was a massive investment for Jerry so he doesn’t want to look bad by admitting the investment went sideways.

One thing is for sure. At this rate we will absolutely have a different QB by 2025. Dak was exposed this season and it’s not going to get better.

That is the crux of the issue. Jerry's inability to ADMIT he was wrong. We stuck with Garrett too long...we stuck with Jaylon Smith too long...we would not spell Zeke with Pollard...when it was clear Zeke was hurt and Pollard was ready to help...I won't even get into how long we stuck with Gregory and were ready to EXTEND him. The list goes on and on!!!!!!!!!
