Well, surprised that there hasn't been any more discussion about Terry Glenn. Maybe Jerry really did shut the door and was being nice to his agent that they would keep them in mind if they need him....

Possibly. I don't know, though. I think the guy is done. Right now, I'm leaning towards Jefferson making the team as a result of the latest injury to Stanback. I like Lowber's speed, but I think he's too green to make the final cut.

Yeah I agree that either Jefferson or Amendola will make the team due to our current injuries at that position.

I know Amendola plays on the return teams, does Jefferson play on the coverage teams? Special teams will probably be the deciding factor.

Lowber is PS material. Way too green to even be on the roster. As far as Jefferson i liked what i seen from him in last night game. He had one drop but it happens but other than that i think he looked good. He made a spectacular catch that he leaped up in the air and stretched out for. I still have to see more on Amendola to really be sold on him. When he was in i just watched him during the play and he does not really show that quickness to make cuts. He was matched up Man 2 Man alot and i don't think he got separation from one DB. His only catch was i believe a hole that he found in the zone but correct me if im wrong.

I think Jefferson makes the roster now because of the injury to Stanbach. He was showing some pretty nice stuff last night and Brad Johnson was looking for him often. He got a lot of reps with the second team.

Your analysis of Amendola is off. He has excellent quickness in his cuts, but lacks the strength to fend off defenders. If they get their hands on him, he has problems getting away. He's far more effective when he's not facing press coverage...which all NFL receiver must learn how to beat to be effective, but it is something that can be corrected. He got separation several times last night, but was swallowed up just as many times. He also drew the defensive holding penalty that locked the game up for us last night.

He wouldn't be very effective against good NFL corners in most situations, but with some help from Juraszek and some technique training, he might be able to get those DB's off of him.

If we had a mix between Amendola and Jefferson, we'd be in business.

I really hope they can get Lowber on the PS. In terms of athletic ability, I think he's exactly what they want. It's really a matter of reps for him, at least IMO. The problem is that it's hard to get those reps.

My impression of Jefferson was that he looked a little uncomfortable with running routes, catching the ball. On that comeback route, the ball just bounced right off him. Amendola is more fluid, a better route runner. Someone said that he has trouble with getting off the jam and at times he did get a little beat up. He just looks a little more ready. I think his advantage over Jefferson is his ST abilities.

Well Jefferson is ahead of Amendola on the depth chart. ST is out shinned by both of the Jones so I don't think he even makes the squad on that.

I hear you. I just thought he didn't look as polished....it will certainly be interesting.

Amendola played on return teams when we got toasted earlier. I did not see him anywhere near first unit last night.

Terry Glenn OR

Amendola

That is cutting to the shape on our depth/talent at WR

I'm surprised nobody has started bringing up that Dallas should have signed Matt Jones

I didn't know zip about him.

He was playing his heart out and making some plays.

At a time when it was needed to hold on to the football to run time off the clock.

Maybe he makes the squad now and makes practice squad later.

I like and want Amendola on this team. He made some excellent plays last night.

He makes the 53 IMO with or without the injuries to the other WRs.

Good job.

And if when the injured return, no way Amendola gets thru waivers to the PS.

He's flat made this team for the year as I see it..pending some big trade or waiver cut surprise signing.

If it was up to me I'd take Jefferson over Amendola. I've been trying to buy into the hype on Amendola but I just don't see it happening out on the field. I didn't even know who Jefferson was until yesterdays game and he's already shown more than lil Danny.

I say put Danny on the PS if he gets scooped up , oh well. If we can live without Terry Glenn it shouldn't be too hard to survive without Danny Amendola.

My only knock on Jefferson yesturday was that he missed a perfect deep ball thrown by Johnson. Other than that, he was impressive.
