Saints on Sunday Night and Packers on Fox Featured game the next Sunday.

Teddy Bridgewater is a former Pro Bowl QB teamed with a Head Coach that is considered one of the best in the NFL. The Saints defense has play makers and can score on defense and special teams.

As for as the Packers, its Aaron Rodgers who has been a Cowboys killer now with a running game and a turnover sacking defense.

We will know for sure if this is a Super Bowl Doomsday defense in Dallas the next two weeks. When it takes a whole half to sack a Dolphins QB after the LT goes down and the halftime score is 10-6, you worry about the Cowboys defense. Especially seeing the Saints go to Seattle with a back up QB and win on offense, defense and special teams. However, the Cowboys defense has had players coming off injury that are rounding into shape. That shape better be formed by 6PM Sunday night. Because things are about to get real.

Fun Fact: wins against weak teams are real.

We get the Packers in Dallas and New Orleans without Brees.
Will be favored in both games, though they should be much tighter.

I think people need to pump the brakes on concerns about the defense. Their currently averaging under 15 points allowed. I know we've had easy opponents so far but that's the point of using an average, every team has easy and hard opponents. If NO puts 40 on us we'd still be in last year's top 10 for points allowed per game.

That being said, they dont have last year's fire yet, and I'm thankful that they got to shake some rust off against easier opponents.

All that matters is you win the Super Bowl. You can back your way into the playoffs, go 9-7 and win it all, go 16-0 and lose the big one. Wins, regardless of the opponent or the score, are needed to get into the playoffs. Everything else is just to evaluate how much of a contender or pretender you think a team is. It may or may not matter at the end of the day. Right now, we're 3-0 and on the right track to win the division. If we beat the Saints and Packers, we'll probably be taken as a serious contender. If we don't, we'll still probably be leading the division.

If we win they will no longer be real tests

Well, if we beat those tests, then some will say those teams were weaker than 1st thought. So the next game then the next game will be a test.
Then we will get the...wait until the playoffs when they play a real team test....

Different year. Now teams have to game plan for the offense and the defense just has to be decent. We can now score!

This is a jinx if I've ever heard one, but I'm not scared of Aaron Rodgers.

I had this explained to me by a fan on another site: Rodgers has rarely made plays on schedule. In the past, this was actually a good thing - he actually got better if he was forced to move or had to hold the ball. More time for Rodgers = more time for the defense to break down, and he had great mobility and a wicked arm to exploit openings anywhere he found them. Supposedly on that 3rd and 17 play he kicked us out of the 2016 playoffs, he made up some route combos for his WRs in the huddle, rolled out left, and just waited to see what would happen. Byron Jones literally gave him an inch, and he took the mile.

Now he's in his mid 30s with some injuries starting to pile up, and his athleticism is waning. Rodgers can't play Rodgers ball any more. He's still a smart veteran QB, but those special plays he used to make regularly don't happen any more. In particular, he can't drive the ball while on the run like he used to. This funk he's been in since 2017 isn't a fluke, it isn't a Mike McCarthy coaching problem, it's a permanent decline.

I'm not saying the Packers game will be easy - their offensive line is still formidable, and their defense is playing pretty well for a 2019 NFL team. But Rodgers is now mortal, and that makes the Packers very beatable.

Wait, these first three games weren't real? What did I miss? Should we be more scared of Teddy than Drew? The defense beat up on the Saints with Drew last season. And it's basically the same unit. So, the skeptics and haters already have a built in excuse.

I look forward to watching, but not tk the knee-jerk reactions if we lose one or both games, even if they're close. Internet forums are bipolar, particularly where fandom is concerned. I hope most people can keep a level head. We can lose both these game and still win the Super Bowl. In fact, losing or playing in a very close, hard fought game, might be better for the long term success of this team.

Finally a real test. Time to see what this team is really about.

Also ready for the inevitable cliff-diving that is going to take place if/when we lose one of the next two games.
Cliff diving is fun provided the water at the bottom is deep enough.

Fun Fact you only have to win by a total of 16 points to go undefeated in the NFL season.

I never stated the wins thus far were not real. However Giants, Commanders, and Dolphins are not the Saints and the Packers. When they beat the Saints and Packers, the band will be in the wagon.

This is the NFL.
