It's been a while since a lot of the NFL's top traditional winning teams were relevant. After decades of domination from the Cowboys, Steelers, 49ers, and Packers, we went through a period where new powerhouses emerged and one year wonders stole the show.

Now, we are getting back to normal. As of today, the Packers and 49ers are dominating their divisions while the Cowboys and Steelers hold on to division leads.

I am glad the 49ers are winning again and I look forward to rekindling that rivalry. I would love to meet up with them in the Championship game. We are still not where we want to be as far as domination, but we are getting there. Give the Cowboys another year or two, and we will once again dominate our division like we used to.

But the top four powerhouses of the NFL are all leading their divisions as of now. It's been a while since I could say that. Things are finally returning to normal.

All we need now are the Vikings, Rams, Dolphins, and Raiders to be good and it is back to the 1970s baby!

The 10-4 Ravens lead the AFC North over the 10-4 Steelers and the only way the Steelers can win the AFC North is to finish ahead of the Ravens in wins, because the Ravens swept them.

Balt and Pitt are both 10-4....but Balt still has the lead

:laugh2: I don't exactly see the cowboys as a "powerhouse" once again.

Which is why I said this:

You think people read entire posts? Goodness no. I saw it. I do read the whole thing.

You dared to praise the Cowboys, used a dirty word, and they will call you on it every time. Never mind your actual comments JJ. You committed the worst foul on the Zone. You gave us credit.

OK. NFL.com has the Steelers in first place so that's what I went by. The Steelers have the more favorable schedule of the two for the final two games; They both have Cleveland, while the Ravens have Cincinnati and the Steelers have St. Louis.

Ahh. Those were the days. I miss them.

Teams stayed together back then also.

You practically played your whole career with one team.

Overreact much?

The Packers were irrelevant for 30 years, let's just keep that in mind when comparing them to others

They sucked hard in the 70's and 80's.

For the past 20 years or so (Favre's 1st year was 92) they've been top echelon. Certainly pre 1970's the Packers were dominant.

The Steelers haven't been a consistently good as most people think they have over the past 40 years.
