I agree. Hard to believe they are keeping the defense decent. But, man, that front seven is struggling. If I was an opposing offense, I'd run up the middle against the Cowboys till they prove they can stop it.

The front 7 will have to strap it up this coming Sunday. Gotta believe SF will try to gash us with a running game. With Blaine Gabbert at QB, it's their only shot at moving the ball with any consistency.

They are another team that don't have the horses to really expose our weaknesses.

Maybe they can run the ball but they won't beat us with their running game.

Hopefully Chip keeps it fast paced.

Minus holding calls and the chop block. He did okay.
You realize #77 does that same lame *** chop block weekly? RIGHT, like weekly. It was Leary that was uncovered, suppose to climb, but he engaged......

Go watch film....watch Tyron do that same play over & over

Don't talk about it, but Dallas currently has a top 10 defense in PPG.

Agreed, it was funny at half time Harrison's reason for the lopsided game was that it looked like the Bears were not into the game.

I could say the same about the Cowboy defense over the last quarter of the game... They gave up a lot of yards in "junk time" and as someone else posted- they had the "So where are we going out to eat?" look.

Like most normal fans, I'm excited, especially about Dak. But a couple of things I've not seen anybody talk about:

  1. Anthony Brown - Didn't notice him really, but that's probably a good thing. He must've done at least a decent job filling in for Scandrick. That's gotta be considered a positive.
  2. Ron Leary - OK, maybe he's been talked about a little bit, but he looked good. To have a completely new left side and not skip a beat on offense is pretty impressive even against a weak defense. Really glad we didn't trade away Leary.
  3. J.J. Wilcox - I know I'm gonna get blasted for this, and I know that Wilcox has major holes in his game. But he's playing a good bit, and he has made the biggest hits in at least two of our first three games. Both of the hits produces big plays. Against the Giants it was a huge stop on third down. Last night it was the hit that caused a fumble. Dare I say Wilcox has been our biggest defensive playmaker thus far this season???

Good observations. I agree on all 3 parts, minus Wilcox being our biggest playmaker.

I saw Leary get on a LB and it reminded me of some old Larry Allen plays. I'm not sure that LBs feet even touched the ground for about 10 yards.

Cincinnati's going to be the real test. Competent QB play, solid running game. I'm particularly worried about Gio Bernard as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.

Three excellent points!

And, despite a few penalties, Chaz Green didn't embarrass himself or get Dak killed either. I think that, as well as getting his first NFL start out of the way, were big accomplishments for him.
