I think its also easy to draw a straight line from the decline of the team's success to the decline of the team's talent...

I still think they are a very talented team. I can't for the life of me understand why they just didn't give TO a little more money or resign Dante Stallworth. Though a different situation, we gave a little up to get Ellis on the field. It doesn't mean you are setting a precedent.

I agree with you about the talent. I believe that if they draft a stud RB this year, then they could rebound quite nicely. The running game would, IMHO, be the catalyst to saving McNabb' bacon.Sign a FA Wr and, combined with the talent on the Oline, they could be a threat again.

I'd luv to see TO go up there and have a MONSTER game which is extremely possible. That would seal the deal!!!:)

And having Spencer (who, as we all remember, was drafted after a trade with the Pigeons) hit McNabb and put him out of the game would be the cherry on top!!!!!!!!!!

Reid is a lot like Cowher. Cowher had an extended period in the early-mid 90's when his team was very good and was a perennial AFC contender but just couldn't win a Superbowl. When that window closed around 98, he had several rebuilding years before he built another contender. He finally won the Superbowl the second time around. Fortunately for us, the Eagle fans don't have that kind of patience, gratitude or longterm outlook. It's probably a big reason why they've never won anything. Reid did a masterful job last year. I guess they think that Reid just suddenly forgot how to coach over the summer.

Is it still Terrell Owens' fault that their team is in decline? LOL

Best thing Owens can do is keep quiet, catch passes, and annoint Tony Romo his most favoritist quarterback ever! LOL

:laugh2:

Call me paranoid, but I have a bad feeling the Eagles are going to have a good second half of the season. They always seem to do that. To my knowledge, they don't have injury problems other than McNabb's continued recovery. Word is he's getting closer to 100%. If they do mount a comeback, I just hope it starts AFTER next week.
