Hard loss yesterday. After these kinds of losses, it's typical to get angry and sometimes, it's a little bit unfair. I've been on a plane since early this morning and I've heard several people talk about the game yesterday. It strikes me that I don't much like to hear excuses from our own fans. I mean, that's always going to happen but it just seems foolish to me. Not posting this to try and lecture anybody. Just saying what I think. If you look back, I think you can make a case that the team that showed up yesterday was the team that played all year. All year we played sloppy with lots of penalties. All year we played poorly on Special Teams. Good teams play mentally sharp football. Good teams don't beat themselves. I hear a lot of people saying that we got beat by a team that we were better then. I don't know if I agree with this. I mean, I know that we beat the Giants twice and if you were to to tell me that we are the more talented team, then I'd probably agree. However, that doesn't mean better. To me, the better team is the team that can play without penalties. The team that plays good fundemental football. A good team doesn't beat themselves. Good teams take everything you give them and capitolizes on it. Good teams find ways to use your weakness against you. To me, that's what the Giants did yesterday. They played the better football, IMO. To me, the Giants were the better team. I know that's not going to be a popular opinion, especially now, but I do think it's true. My hat is off to them. They did more with less. They found a way to beat us. Those kinds of wins are more impressive, to me, then the kind where you beat a team 45-7. It means that you played the game the way it should be played. You beat a more talented team through execution and good sound, smart football. JMO but there it is.
