of course, a win ..but not because the D bailed us out once again..
1. maybe we can actually play to our strength and their weakness- that is, RUN THE BALL...AND RUN IT AGAIN..AND AGAIN..!
2. when we go to the passing game maybe---let Marty B get more involved so they have to account for him and maybe free up Austin or Roy for one on one matchups ((but please--not against Nsadi Assamonga!!!!)
3. get Felix on those short passes out in the flat where he lets his talents take over in the open field

On defense one thing and one thing only---
stop them on 3rd and LONG.....!!!...

This. Why hasn't this been happening??

#1 applied this past weekend, we ran the ball more than we passed it, and we did it because the Commanders arnt very good against the run AND they were missing their best DT...he never got away from it...we scored a total of zero points with that strategy...we scored our only td on a drive where they threw the ball every play...I'm not saying this to suggest we pass every play, or even pass more than we did last week. But the idea that many in this forum seem to have that if we just run the ball over and over and over and somehow that will make us a bigtime offense is flawed

#2 and #3 I agree with

As for #1, didn't we do that for most of the game vs. the Skins and did jack squat with it. Even though our running game was working well, the Boys just can't seem to go on 10+ play drives without shooting themselves in the foot via penalties or turnovers. IMO, they NEED those big pass plays and to get Romo into a rhythm as early as possible. Else, we might be talking only 10-17 points max scoring again.

For #2, we might not have any option BUT to get Marty B involved more as Witten might be out.

For #3, I totally agree with you on.

1. I would hope to see Mashed potatoes over Sweet Potatoes

2. More Felix... He needs to be gave a Julius Jones type of role. Its time.

I want see Dallas run a strong balanced offense that means run it also means pass. I want to see Dallas attacking not playing keep away. One thing about predominate running teams is they can't have mistakes during a 12 or 13 play drive if you come away with 3 or less points all you manage to do is keep the weaker team in the game much like we did last week with the Commanders. When Dallas is putting up points (avg. 27.1 prior to GB) we did it by attacking teams and using the run as a counter. In my opinion I don't want to see Dallas become the Carolina Panthers who run because they are afraid to pass the ball. As far as I'm concerned we do have one of the top QB's in the league

How bout a big lead early that lets us pull key starters and gets them some extra rest for the giants game.

1. Fresh margaritas

2. Platter of enchiladas

Folk returning to consistency.

Third down effectiveness throughout the game, for both sides of the Dallas ball.

Tony Romo being on target for an entire game...

and both Ball and Free having good games.

- A Win. I don't care how it happens, what way it comes about, who gets the biggest game or any of that. A win is the biggest thing.

Some other things, as icing on the cake to a win, are:

- Felix getting some passes into some open space

- Balanced offense from the Cowboys

- Roy Williams to have a big game to make more steps in the right direction

- D-Ware to get 3 sacks so that he's in double digits again

- Our secondary to pick off at least 2 passes and I want Jenkins to have at least 1

Sounds good to me but would you be willing to give up 1 of Ware sacks to Spencer? :laugh2:

1. A win
2. Roy Williams catch and hold onto a ball
3. Spencer get a sack - he deserves it

#1 - Win

#2 - Defense score a TD

#3 - Pass the ball, pass the ball and pass the ball and run it when you should. Get Romo going early and then mix in the run game. That is the recipe for success. Run the ball, run the ball, run the ball is a recipe for last week .... no points and Romo not in the flow of the game

Come out with no huddle and sling it down the field. If they want to double Witten (if he plays) and shut down the WR then get the ball to the backs.

Run a flea flicker - please - it will work - something to get this Offense out of it's funk!
