I know everybody is on the Romo bandwagan but something that gave me pause, he did not throw a pass over 15 yards and nothing in the intermediate range 12-18 over the middle. This is not something he can do and get away with it in the regular season, IMO the jury is still out in regard to arm strenght. I would like to get some feedback on what others think about his lack of down feild passing.

Abram Elam maybe it was just me but I think this kid might have a little something he was all over the feild and I think i read that he was running with the second team, i think he might make the team.

About the longest pass I remember was the one to Crayton down the sideline. He made the great catch over the CBs shoulder. I don't recall how long that play was exactly, but Crayton got some YAC, would have had a TD if not for the fumble. I'm thinking he threw that one about 20 yards and Crayton ran for about 10???

I can't imagine that Wille Pile is feeling very secure with his spot on this team. I thought Elam looked pretty good out there, and you know he can play a lot of special teams. I wouldn't be shocked if he makes this team.

What's very interesting to me is the sheer number of players I look at on this team who can play in the NFL. There isn't room enough for all of them here though. Remember the days of deciding what junk should stay? Now, Parcells and company are going to have to decide what decent players have to go.

I remeber that play it was kind of a lob over the top IMO he did not do anything to challenge deep but maybe it was because ov who he had at rec. i would like to see something over the middle or a bomb of some sort.

You are correct! Parcells and JJ are going to have some real tough decisions come cut days...

lets suppose for a moment T Romo wasnt making the play calls but that the coaches on the sidelines were calling in the plays, hmmmmmmmmm..

and lets suppose that with the recievers that were playing they either couldnt get open or were taking too long to get open, and therefore the shorter routes were the more judicious way to go, hmmmmmmmmm..

then lets suppose that BP has had Romo for going on four years and already knows what kind of deep ball he throws and doesnt care what some fan thinks one way or the other about wheather his arm strength is still in question, hmmmmmmmmm..

dad gum those are just to scary of thoughts to handle, so i guess it must be he needs to show you something before BP lets him run the team, hmmmmm..

Hopefully tough decisions because the players are good, not because they are choosing the lesser of two evils.

 Hey man calm down thats why I asked for others comments, the part in bold makes no sense if Romo was being put out there to see how he performs you still need to find if he can make all the throws.

I thought I asked some fair question, unlike you one preseason game is not gonna make me think Romo is the answer, he could be but to any rational fan the jury is still out and IMO the passing tree needs to be used a little more to answer those questions. IMO the passes that Romo threw on Sat could be very easily gameplanned by a good D.

(9:21, 1st quarter) T.Romo pass deep right to T.Glenn to DAL 45 for 20 yards (K.Hamlin, K.Herndon). -- This was the play where Romo had initially slipped and then stepped up in the pocket to deliver to Glenn. The pass was actually completed in the middle of the field ... and Glenn was tackled immediately.

(7:14, 2nd quarter) T.Romo pass deep right to P.Crayton to SEA 30 for 33 yards (O.Celestin). FUMBLES (O.Celestin), and recovers at SEA 30. P.Crayton to SEA 30 for no gain (O.Celestin). IIRC, the pass was atleast 20 yards.

(7:11, 3rd quarter) T.Romo pass deep right to J.Rector pushed ob at SEA 24 for 22 yards (R.Austin). This was one of the ball thrown perfectly to the outside shoulder ... Rector was immediately pushed OB.

(9:46, 3rd quarter) T.Romo pass deep right to J.Rector pushed ob at DAL 28 for 18 yards (K.Jennings). This is the other ball thrown perfectly to the outside shoulder ... Rector was again immediately pushed OB.

From the 1st day of camp... "Owens electrified the crowd during the team drills when he burned cornerback Aaron Glenn down the right sideline, caught a bomb from Tony Romo and zipped into the end zone to send the crowd into an uproar."

The only thing odd to me ... is that all of these passes are to the right sideline of the field with the exception of the 20-yarder to Glenn which was more in the middle/right of the field.

Maybe thats what was odd all of the passes seemed "safe" not saying thats a bad thing but, I still would like to see more types of passes from Romo. I would not have guessed he had that many passes over 15 yards good stuff.

What he did make were some very tough out patterns that require excellent arm strength.

BTW they were complete and deftly accurate.
