I know everybody is on the Romo bandwagan but something that gave me pause, he did not throw a pass over 15 yards and nothing in the intermediate range 12-18 over the middle. This is not something he can do and get away with it in the regular season, IMO the jury is still out in regard to arm strenght. I would like to get some feedback on what others think about his lack of down feild passing.
(9:21, 1st quarter) T.Romo pass deep right to T.Glenn to DAL 45 for 20 yards (K.Hamlin, K.Herndon). -- This was the play where Romo had initially slipped and then stepped up in the pocket to deliver to Glenn. The pass was actually completed in the middle of the field ... and Glenn was tackled immediately.
(7:14, 2nd quarter) T.Romo pass deep right to P.Crayton to SEA 30 for 33 yards (O.Celestin). FUMBLES (O.Celestin), and recovers at SEA 30. P.Crayton to SEA 30 for no gain (O.Celestin). IIRC, the pass was atleast 20 yards.
(7:11, 3rd quarter) T.Romo pass deep right to J.Rector pushed ob at SEA 24 for 22 yards (R.Austin). This was one of the ball thrown perfectly to the outside shoulder ... Rector was immediately pushed OB.
(9:46, 3rd quarter) T.Romo pass deep right to J.Rector pushed ob at DAL 28 for 18 yards (K.Jennings). This is the other ball thrown perfectly to the outside shoulder ... Rector was again immediately pushed OB.
From the 1st day of camp... "Owens electrified the crowd during the team drills when he burned cornerback Aaron Glenn down the right sideline, caught a bomb from Tony Romo and zipped into the end zone to send the crowd into an uproar."
The only thing odd to me ... is that all of these passes are to the right sideline of the field with the exception of the 20-yarder to Glenn which was more in the middle/right of the field.
