Things to Change

Defense - they finally ran out of mojo in a tough place against the best QB. But they really aren't championship caliber. Need a rush and better safety play.

Running game - whether Murray returns or not we need to share carries and have more speed.

Special Teams - always loved Harris but maybe the hits have caught up. We need a return threat and better overall play on ST. Too many blocked kicks.

Murray was mismanaged all year....especially when they thought he had a chance to break the NFL record. They tried to make him someone he was not. I do not care what numbers he put up today.

He lacked burst the last quarter of the season. Eddie Lacy had his 100 yards...yet there were CHUNKS of the game where he took a breather and/or they gave #44 the entire series. Joseph Randle showed burst on the 1 or 2 carries he had. Hell they ran a screen on 3rd and 20 to Murray. I mean...how POINTLESS is that!!!!!!!!! They play where Murray fumbled?...Randles scores on that! I don't think Murray scores on that...even if he does not fumble.

Murray is not...was never...and never will be Emmit. So building this team around him running....doing all the blocking on third down...catching all the passes out the backfield...was dumb from the jump. If they nurtured #21 all season long...they would have TRUSTED him to get 7 carries today. They didn't do it all year..so they have been caught trying to ride Murray like he is Emmit...and HE IS NOT. He actually ran BETTER after the fumble! Emmit...a real winner...would have started the game out running like his pants were on fire...Murray did not do it until AFTER he fumbled.

And again....I am not saying Murray is the reason we lost. I just noticed how Green Bay had no problem using their entire arsenal.

And you are right...Harris looks burned out. Time to move on!

Agreed. The defense played with nothing but heart and I love them for that; but when it came down too it we just weren't talented enough to get the job done.
