Thanks again for everyone's suggestions!!! We had a great time. I love the city. This was the first time I have been to Dallas since I was 16 and that was almost 30 years ago.

Forewarning about Joe T Garcia's. On the weekend there will likely be an extremely long line and wait, and it's outdoors. If you're not accustomed to 90+ degree weather, I would not recommend it. I see that you're going to six flags, so I assume you're not going to be a wimp about the heat, but it's a different thing to not be comfortable while eating.

Not sure how familiar you are w/ Joe T's ie how many times you've been there, but there are plenty of indoor sections.

Correct. I was there about a month ago on the weekend. Line at about 4:20pm was 100 yards - 2 across.
During the week days not so bad. Nice thing is your in the shade at that point in the day.
You can go up to the service bar at the entrance and get something to hold you over till your seated.
