Here are a few things to consider going forward:

1. What are the chances that the Cowboys would use a premium pick on a wide receiver (1st or 2nd) and let Miles Austin go at the end of this year? (My guess is they won't look to do that but if the value is there it would make some sense due to Austin's injury history, age and salary cap number).

2. It is just a smoke screen, or is Jerry Jones seriously thinking that Free can play LT and might move him back as he has hinted? (My guess is NO).

3. In what round will the Cowboys address running back in the draft this year? On one hand you have a clear #1 back in Murray, but if he is injured you have very little behind him. I think they will hope to get a RB anytime AFTER the 2nd round, but if a guy is there in the 2nd that is the highest on your board I am not sure they would avoid taking him. I personally HOPE they find a steal in the 5th round or later.

I'm saying if the Cowboys see value with a rook that they have a high grade on, should they pull the trigger?

I know. Was making a little riddle with the Austin for Austin move. And yes, if that wr is the BPA. Always trust your board.

Yes, if is BPA ok, but WRs tend to take 2-3 years for developing , take austin, dez , Harris....

But if we spend a premium pick on WR , what would we do with OL/safety holes ?

The last thing this team needs is another shiny toy. We need large fat men that have body odor. Nothing else.

1 zero chance
2 smoke screen. free will either take a major pay cut or be cut june 1
3 i would guess starting in the 4th rnd they will look at rb's unless someone just falls abd i too good to pass up

Higher than a lot of people here think. WR TE or RB none would be a surprise IMO. Jerry hinted at it a while ago.

This. Obviously if a premium player falls in their laps they will likely take him. I think they will look at any RB available but most likely will not take one until at least the third and most likely 4 and below.

the only way I see a WR or RB early, is if we somehow trade down in the first and get and extra 2nd or 3rd...otherwise, RB should come before the 4th or 5th round, minimally

Can we get a playcaller in the draft or through free agency?

Why?

Romo will still be the QB.

Anything else you want? How about more mustard on your hotdog?

I don't have a problem with Romo, I really don't. I just think the last game was important and he had a part in the reason we lost....I also think the playcalling is part of Romo's problem.

Well, I cannot disagree with you on that because I don't know what play was called or what was supposed to be done. Maybe Garrett will share the playing or at least get some input on it.
