Just food for thought;

Is RW11 the elite receiver we need/can he replace TO.
(I believe he will)

Did RW38 have anything left in the tank/heart? Will he return to form with the Bengals or will he fade quietly away?
(Unfortunately I think he may wake up and we really could have used him right now. hopefully one of our rookies will step up big time.)

Is Spencer going to be the OLB opposite to DWare Dallas is hoping for or will he fall short and will he stay with the Cowboys either way?
(I think he will shine but undecided on if Jerry pays him)

Will DWare take control of the defense and be the leader? His on the field presence is incredible but he's soft spoken... he stated that he could be that guy though.
(I really don't see him as the vocal leader type but I hope I'm wrong)

Will we finally get a playoff win this year so people can finally **** about it every December?? lol will we make the playoffs
(yes we will make it but no, that won't stop the press)

Is Felix the Cat everything he looked to be last year?
(No, as much as I like the guy I have my doubts. But if he can be enough of a threat that teams have to plan for him it could open up other things)

Is Garrett truly the "Boy Wonder" or will he/we suffer another year of disappointments offensively?
(The lack of reaction to what defenses were doing to us all last year is pretty disturbing. I seriously doubt he is the guy.)

Can Wade get us there or not? Will JJ bring in Shanahan or Cowher etc. and either way does Wade stay?
(I think Wade's great defensive mind is not enough to get us there and that it will be Cowher who steps in to replace him.)

Did cutting T.O. solve the chemistry issues AND
Does T.O. go to Buffalo and put up[ huge numbers?
(Cutting T.O. solved some issues but if Dallas doesn't play with heart it doesn't matter who is there or not there.
And I suspect T.O. will have a quiet year with the Bills)

Can Newman stay healthy all year?
No. :(

Will Austin or Stanbach finally have that 'breakout' season? / Is Austin going to be that #2 receiver Dallas needs?
(Both of these guys are going to be weapons in 09)

feel free to add if you like, I will dig this up next Feb. after all is said and done.

I think the biggest thing to decide after this year, is do we need to start rebuilding completely, or are we close.

The thing I hate most about going into this year is we all know it is Wades last year and he will most likely get all of the blame again and the players get excused again.

If "elite" equates to "Hall of Fame receiver", the answer is no. He is not. However, if healthy, he is a very good receiver who is more than fully capable of being this offense's number one receiver. That is the reason why he was retained. It is also the reason why he does not need to "replace Terrell Owens" in order for this offense to be very successful.

Yes. There isn't anything which Felix Jones displayed as an Arkansas Razorback which he did not also showcase in limited opportunities during his rookie season. There should not be any uncertainty in my opinion. The only question mark hovering over Felix Jones is the possibility of future injury.

No. Several players (including Terrell Owens) were released and/or not re-signed to help alleviate chemistry problems. As always (literally), Terrell Owens was not the sole problem behind the 2008 Dallas Cowboys woes.

How this year shakes out will make next offseason an extremely interesting one. Probably more so than the last couple have been.

i think we are close, but the window is closing on our offensive linemen, so we have to do something in the next 3 years or so

no i think jerry jones has already passed that issue of letting players get by and so has wade

i think after this year, greg ellis will be gone for sure, possibly flozell, then players like crayton, carpenter, proctor if not this year next year for sure, heck you might even see hamlin let go if he has another bad year like he did last year;

i do think some house cleaning, not much, but enough to finish sending the message if the cowboys dont do anything this year;

and it all boils down to whom is the head coach too, what the new head coach next year envisions or thinks;

You serious? Why would we rebuild when we have one of the most talented rosters in the league?

other things we will know this time next year..

What number Taylor Mays will be wearing for the Dallas Cowboys.

That we now have the best pass rushing duo ever in D Ware and Julius Peppers.

That Daniel Snyder lost his mind and traded his entire 2010 and 2011 drafts to move up and take Tim Tebow.

That some Buffalo Bills players will have something negative to say about TO.

:D

Pretty much agree with your light assessment, I will give Garrett this year to show.

Very good post and full of questions.

I feel that time will expose the truths to these questions.

But let me say this: The Cowboys are loaded with existing talent. And I don't mean these marginal draft picks or that has been Brookings. But bless that lad Brookings, he is all we got so we got to support him.

So that leaves us with one big negative: That darn fool Wade Phillips is seemingly the Cowboys' only achimedes heel.:mad:

Because it will have been three years in a row we have had the most talented roster in the league and not won a playoff game...
