We have potential 3 guys going in that represented us. Larry Allen, shoe in. Charles Haley and Bill Parcells.( They have to get in eventulaly) After that we go Dark, who get's in? Witten he has like 3-4 good years left , Ware another guy who has 4 years left. There not automatics, So we could have a real Dark period here. Not that I'm a big HOF guy ,I think it's a b;oddy joke but we really don't have anyone for a good solid 10 years. Just thought maybe T.O gets in who knows, You watch how many Steelers get put in in the next 10 years its unreal.

What happens next? A Cowboy gets in the HOF or the Cowboys win a playoff game?

There are still players from the 70's who can still get in to the HOF so it may not be as dark of a period as you may think

WOW I thought I was a optimist, I would love to see a lot of 70's guys who are more then deserving to get in but Unless writers die out, I have very little faith in that happening

Guys from the past are still getting voted in last year saw Chris Hanburger and Les Richter. I doubt many felt Pugh would get in given the history of the writers. All I can say is keep the faith

Cliff Harris and Drew Pearson can get in at some point. Barring injury, Ware and Witten will be pretty close to shoe-ins.

Parcells will get in the first year they don't have five definite Hall of Fame players.

Allen will be first ballot, next year.

Haley is pretty iffy.

T.O. will get in on the first couple ballots (although I won't really consider him a Cowboy).

Witten and Ware could easily play a lot more than four more years, however, so you may be right about that dry spell. (If Witten plays to the same age as Gonzalez, for example, he has seven more years).

It's a very long shot, but does Darren Woodson get any consideration at some point?

Parcells won't go in a Cowboy anyway. And who cares? He was a carpetbagger who didn't do anything while he was here except run away with most of the coaching staff.

and none so blind who will not see

Howley should have been in long ago. I just hope the senior committee gets it some day.

Guys players/coaches don't go in to the HOF as a player/coach for a team.

I'm still waiting for the Stealers 3rd string punter to get in :laugh2:

True but many are associated with a particular team. Lilly May not have gone in as a Cowboys but we all know he was. :laugh2:

The only 2 players on our current roster that has had anything close to a hall of fame career are Ware and Witten. Ware will get in but Witten might not because he wasnt the best of his generation. That goes to Gonzales.

Got a flash for you. Curtis Martin was not the best of his generation either and he is in. You look at many HOF members and they were the second or third, fourth or even fifth best of their time. Was Jim Kelly the best of his generation?

Glad you brought this up, it's what goes through my head every time I see a thread like this.

I think he should be in, but won't because of some of the crappy teams he played on. The guy has a Super Bowl ring and a couple All-Pros, and we've been struggling to replace him for what, 8 years now?

Though I don't agree, the only way I think he does get in is if he somehow increases his role on ESPN. I think that's dumb, but he was so quiet a player I think part of the reason he doesn't get the recognition he deserves is because you just don't hear about him a lot.

Ware and Witten will definitely get in if they keep producing like they are now for the next 4-5 years. Give Romo more seasons like he is now, and a ring, I believe he'll be in too.

From your mouth to g-ds ears, but I don't see it. There's many older guys worth the HOF hopefully the old timers will get them in there, I have no faith in the writers there's a bias and I truly believe it.

I don't think you can fault Witten for Gonzales career. If by some lucky situation we are able to win a SB Witten is a lock. He will have great numbers when he's done.

Chuck Howley
Cliff Harris
Harvey Martin
Drew Pearson

Until the Veterans Committee put them in, that place is a joke.

Larry Allen is a 1st ballot HOFer. If he is snubbed I may need bail.
