You better get back on the field JJ. Barber's taking advantage of the time. He's picking up the blitz, catching passes (better than you).

love what i am seeing from him. yes his blocking has been pretty good. but he is looking very, very good out there. Parcells sure has an eye for talent at the RB position.

Terry Brashaw just said on the halftime show, that JJ has lost his job. Don't know about that.

If Barber continues to play well the 2nd half and doesn't fumble, i think he has already taken J.Jones job. Especially since J.J wasn't doin much before he got injured. Jones is gonna have to earn his job back

The one thing that really jumps out,is his ability to catch almost
anything thrown to him.The reverse can be said about Julius. It's
great we have them both.

Barber is taking advantage of his opportunities but the biggest reason for our improved running game has to do with winning the battles at the line of scrimmage. In 3 of the past 4 games (the exception is the Giants game) the OL has done quite good blocking for the run - the problems have had more to do with the pass blocking in the Hawks and Giants game.

Anyhow, getting Julius back will only make us stronger. Also gives us potential to pull a trade for a high draft pick for some team needing a RB next year because we've to 3 good young ones. We can probably get Parcells to find us another blue chipper in the 3rd or 5th round next year.

I'll still be a happy man when Julius returns. Having a healthy Julius and Marion (fingers crossed)? I'm liking it.

I dont think it's a surprise at all. The only surprise to me is that he appears to be flawless in pass protection, but thats the case for any rookie RB because you never know. Otherwise, he's showing the talent he displayed while in college. He's a very talented back. Julius will keep his job this year but he certainly will have some work to retain it next year in training camp.

Jones is gonna be playin as good as he can when he comes back and with Barber playin real well, this is gonna be as hard as running game to stop in the NFL.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. When teams start planning for MBIII and he continues this then he has arrived. This could be a very nice problem to have. I dont want JJ to be a grinder, I want him in the open field making things happen

I would say just the opposite -- that now that we have a legitimate starting RB, we don't have to rush Julius back before he's ready.

I don't think anyone thinks Julius is milking this injury, do they? High ankle sprains are pretty serious business.

That is bs about him dogging it- this is from those that have never been a fan of his anyway. Barber finally has arrived. Cannot believe the idiot that thinks JJ has to earn his job back- but then again that Is Bradshaw- not exactly the sharpest tack in the box. But BP will now not have to worry about the backup RB slot. AT LEAST NOW.

Yeah, that Jimmy Johnson is a fool too. What the hell does he know about football?

Jimmy is acting like an announcer- he seems to have forgotten everything he said last year about JJ.

Let's not get crazy. JJ still has superior speed and moves. Check out Calico's Hotstepper vid for the evidence. Let's just get them both healthy.

What a nice problem to have, Quality depth, no more Eddie Geogre's. Do you guys think with JJ coming back, Barber Emerging and Thompson potential that Bill will make a :iggles: :trophy: :suxiggle: :disseags: move with the A Train during the bye week?

Julius better get healthy soon. Great RBs do not lose that many gajmes in the first 2 years. Guy is fragile so far in early career.
