JJ is just proving to be a very average running back that had some career games early in his career that raised peoples expectations. I don't know whats gotten into him, I think BP's mind games dont work on some kids.

I want to turn this thread into the....Barber>Jones thread. Everyone says Barber racks up garbage stats in junk time, but for a short yardage back to be averaging roughly 5 yards a carry... C'mon - this kid is for real and BP knows it.

fact is that JJ just isn't as good as MBIII.
JJ isn't bad, but he just isn't getting it done. MBIII will actually bounce outside on occasion whereas JJ just puts his head down and plows into the pile. JJ is the one that SHOULD be bouncing outside since he's the speed guy.
MBIII should be our starter.

IMO this is just following a tendency the last weeks showed. MB has gotten more and more playing time and he uses it to his advantage.

JJ to me looks a step slow. He bulked up alot to be a durable back but he lost his juice since then IMO.

For me i never really was in love with JJ i like MBs running style alot more. But let the better back play. Right now it's still running back on commite but MB has the edge right now.

You are right. To me JJ looks like he thinks too much. He lost a bit of his instinctiv running.

I'll also tell you that when JJ gets the ball, he's got some defenders already in the backfield....It could be that he just doesn't have as quick a first step.

The worst thing that could have happened to him was the Seattle game three years ago. Everyone's been waiting for that guy to return. He's had no knee inuries. Where's the burst, the breakaway runs, etc?
