Obviously, it is important to always choose the best player available. Having said that if you choose the best player available in the third round should that player be able to start for you as a rookie?

If you don't draft on potential future starter should you be able to get a starter in the 3rd round?

DeMarco Murray and Jason Witten are notable third rounders. Should you be able to count on having a guy available in the 3rd if you choose the player wisely?

I hit post before I actually intended to above. I guess in choosing the best player available where we are now do you go for the instant gratification or take a guy like Jaylon Ramsey or a long term OL or DL prospect that will take a couple of years to develop?

If this team continues its recent approach of not being big spenders in FA to fill starting roles, then it needs to try to acquire talent through the draft that's ready to contribute on the field as quickly as possible.
