This ain't Madden

I'm not even a Dak guy, but it would seem foolish to start from scratch at the QB position if it can be helped. Would be equally as foolish to pay 40M though.

NFL 2k4 was the best football video game ever made. Blew Madden out of the water.

Such a shame EA bought the rights to the NFL. Competition made both upgrade every year. Madden 20 doesn't have all the features they had back on the original Xbox, in regards to the franchise and contracts.
Loved when 2k5 went for sale for 20 bucks.

I think NFL2K was the reason EA bought exclusive NFL rights. 2k was a better game and they sold it for $20 upon release. EA didn’t want to have to work every year against competition so they bought exclusive rights and shut down the competition.

I may be wrong but that’s the way I remember it.

JC nailed it on this call. Brady is washed... & Dak is indeed worth the work to secure him for a long time in Dallas.

Agreed. I’m not sure Brady can even throw a 20 yard out anymore. I wouldn’t sign Tom Brady for anything. He’s become Muhammad Ali- once “the greatest” but now just “the oldest”. He needs to retire.
I think Brady is going to get hurt. His arm right now is about equal to Dak but he is more accurate.

Dak isn't going to be traded anywhere and 40 something Brady isn't coming to save the day. Magic Johnson errrr I mean Michael Irvin really should chill and let the big boys do what they do. The Dallas Cowboys and Dakota Rayne are in the midst of a negotiation. They didn't keep Kellen Moore on as OC just because he has cute hair. Happy Monday folks. Don't fall for the fake news. The revolution will not be televised.
This ain't Madden but it is maddening.

Lots of Madden players on this board whose schemes require our players and the other GM's to all behave like compliant non-player controlled video game characters.

Hence the people floating the "sign and trade Byron for more than the comp pick he'll bring" idea.

Or the dum-dums saying we should sign Brady and turn around and trade Dak. Ignoring that the more likely outcome is he secures his unconditional entrance onto the open market just like Nick Foles did despite his value never being higher. You can't realistically franchise tag a QB with the intentions of trading him if you plan on paying huge money to another QB to start for you. Because the threat of him signing the tag and saddling you with an almost $30 million dollar backup is a crippling nuclear bomb deathblow of leverage.

Thats OK, because of Dak the Cowboys never call that play any way
