You get the 5th year option and then a franchise year if you choose. That gives you 6 years of control at an overall very reasonable cost for a top talent and then allows you to let him go right as the drop off in production is expected.
You’re not going to get 6 years without a new contract. Look no further than Zeke. They can hold out after 3 years of accrued service. The team doesn’t have to renegotiate, but the player can hold out and report after 11 games and still get a year of accrued service. RBs, and more importantly, their agents, understand the system and the position longevities.

Me too. I think there's no chane they use their 10th on him, but their 30th? Cowboys don't move up, they just sit there. So in the unlikely scenario Robinson gets anywhere near 26, the Eagles would jump up to get him before letting us get him. Especially since they could use him too.
The Eagles are certainly are in the Bijan sweepstakes. Miles Sanders left for free agency and they can afford to part ways with one of their 1st rounders on Bijan. No way he will last till the 26th pick. If he did, the Eagles will most likely will trade up to get him.
