Le tme first say, I could really care less what a guy like Marshal Faulk has to say about the Cowboys. He has consistantly shown his hand, his bias and dislike for the not only for Romo but for the ownership.

I know what to expect from him and he's consistant.

But after reading this article, I was dumbfounded that this guy even has a job writing about football. I could write a more accurate and realistic rating of the league signal callers and I was lucky to get out of the eleventh grade.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/jim_trotter/11/01/qb.rankings/index.html

For starters, Drew Brees at #7 ???

Behind Alex Smith, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Cam Newton? Alex Smith has been driving the bus pretty mistake free, but #6 really?

Ok, maybe your going strictly with who's played the best so far this year as you state.

So Roethlisberger's 5 turnover performance... we'll just ignore that, as well as Brady's 4 picks against Buffalo. Unlike Romo, I guess those are just "mulligans"

Even Rivers, who leads the league in picks, ahead of Romo?

Vick has as many picks as TD passes and if you go look at the QB ratings,

Sanchez is 19
Rivers is 20
Vick is 21

Guess who is ahead of them? Tim Tebow

But putting Sanchez and his 56% completion percentage ahead of Romo is an absolute joke. A joke.

Oh yeah Romo is #4 with a 97.7 rating and a nearly flawless game sunday.

So eat that, Trotter

What exactly is a Tebow? It sounds like some kind of steak. I wouldn't rate him in the top 32.

Not only is this old, but it's lame and it fails on so many levels.

Try harder next time TC.

Not that it makes a huge difference, but this thing was written two weeks ago. Given that it's "only based on this season," I'd presume that Romo would jump to the top 7 or 8 if he were to re-do it now. Fitzpatrick, for instance, has thrown five interceptions over this two-game stretch that isn't covered in his rankings.

all I can say after seeing that list is Wow. Does his guy watch the NFL

Tebow sounds like a hip-hop dance or some new version of the Tae Bo workout. :laugh2:

well at least he nailed #1

but then again, even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then

USA Today just ranked the QBs and had Romo at #8. Heck, ESPN now has him on the league top MVP list.

Oh I know. Just pointing out how horrible the original list is. And like I edited, ESPN has him on their MVP list.

I agree. I have learned not to put much stock in these opinions.

I know that ** hates the boys but does anyone know what is at the root of the hate? I just don't get it.

In before someone claims "He's just doing it to stir up controversy!!", to cover up the fact that he's just actually a really, really, really dim bulb.

This is prior to last week's perfect game, but still, the guy is beyond clueless.

I'll never understand why Romo's ints count about double what other QB's do. This is regardless of when they were thrown, as other QB can also throw late game picks and some of these writers just look the other way.

Bottom line is that Romo is the 4th highest rated QB in the entire league and has the 3rd or 4th best TD:int ratio. Even if you go by total picks (which is not right b/c some QBs throw so much more than others) Romo rates very, very high.

When posters learn that opinions are based on what happens from week to week, they'll be able to stop taking the blood pressure medicine.

Remember, how (almost) everyone had the Commanders winning the division based on their earlier record?

Then it's Detroit.

Opinions, especially in sports, are moving targets. It's kind of like mock drafts. Mock drafts are designed to change because what's the interest in them when they're the same all the time?

So it is with NFL opinions. You just gotta recognize them as such.

I agree. Heck Deion was saying Grossman was the best QB in the NFC East. :laugh2:

Fact is just because some of these guys are former player does not make their views correct so why would writers views be any better?

As you said these views tend to go up and down week to week.
