This Could Get Ugly Quick

I'm a big Romo guy and all. I almost want to see him succeed more than this awful organization at this point, but at some point the team does have to move on. Should the Cowboys really marry themselves to Romo like he's Peyton Manning or something and hamstring the franchise even more with the mega-contract he's sure to get? Vice-Versa, Romo should be pretty much be ready to leave Dallas. The writing should be on the wall for him that he can't win here.

I don't really disagree with you shockingly. If he can't win here and it's clear it won't ever happen than he should probably move on. He's a great football player and deserves a shot at winning a Super Bowl. I'd hate to see him end his career ringless.

Not gonna panic yet. If we get Ratliff, Coleman and Spencer back for that game then I think we can shock the world. Of course we'll then have a let down game and lose to the Panthers. Haha

I don't think they'll make that much of a difference. Kenyon Coleman is a stiff. Jay Ratliff is a bit of a wildcard, but I still believe his best days are behind him. Anthony Spencer is a definite upgrade over Butler though.

As your heart hardens a bit more and you begin to question your perception of the Cowboys, we'll agree more.

Romo has been just as much at fault for the failures of this organization. He continues to get a pass though.

I guarantee you if Romo leaves Dallas after this current contract, he's going to have more success than the Cowboys. With the state of the Cowboys that could mean very little, but he'll prove that the organization is the problem more than he is.

You really think a guy who couldn't beat out Tebow is the answer?

You mean Tim Tebow? The guy who put Denver on his back last year and took them to the playoffs and also led them to a win in the postseason over the 12-4 Steelers?

Oh yea.. worst QB of all time.

:rolleyes:

Orten is a bus driver.. and a good one at that. He won't make the amazing, huge plays.. but he makes his reads quick, doesn't hesitate, and puts the ball in there quick and hard to the open receiver. Frankly, not only does this team need to make a drastic move for the sake of shaking things up, but we need more QB play like this guy plays. Less risks, more of taking what the D is giving you and not trying to force things.

I agree with that, not because i don't think Romo isn't part of the problem.. he is. But i do think that no matter where he goes, his new team couldn't possibly have as many problems and distractions as this one.

I think Bal is a bad matchup for us but I think we beat panthers and giants that will set up a showdown with the Falcons. If we can get to 4-4 after eight games that would be nice all things considered.

Shame when we are happy to be 4-4. I remember when this franchise set the bar for excellence. Jerry has completely ruined this franchise, it's fan base and any grain of dignity that Landry and Tex established.

@Ravens-L 2 and 3

@Carolina-W 3 and 3 ( print them playoff tickets, Ha Ha )

Giants -L Season is over at 3 and 4

@Atlanta-W 4 and 4 (print them playoff tickets )

This.

What Romo does not have the confidence to do. His accuracy is great one play, horrid the next. Time to draft.

4 of those picks were on Romo last night. Even if Dez misses his route, Romo cannot toss that ball out there with 2 defenders right there, (one being Urlacker)your asking for bad things to happen. Fall on the ball and live for another play.

Our next 4 games are.......

@Ravens
@Carolina
Giants
@Atlanta

We could very well lose all 4 games the way we are playing. :bang2:

With that schedule, 4-4 at the half way point would be a tremendous achievement.

Could be on our way to a top draft pick just as well to get this oline fixed.

The Giants play better in our stadium. We're not sweeping them.
