This Cowboys receiver has extremely high expectations for 2026

Flo's got it. He has what they were looking so desperately for in Tolbert. He runs good routes, has great hands and can run-block. I still find it very unsettling that they cut him before the season last year. They got lucky no one else picked him up.
Unsettling? babaahhahha. He was so good that not ONE OTHER team picked him up after getting cut. WTH was our front office thinking.... cutting this future HOF player.

Glad he's stepping up and hope it continues. Never liked Tolbert so it's nice to have a guy step in and be what we wanted out of that draft pick.

Do you know what "if" means? He clearly checked out late last year. Are you okay with this? Do you not agree that a backup plan for WR2 needs to be thought of, if we may trade or release? Will he accept the tag 2x? This really isn't a diffciult discussion unless you want it to be
It is difficult when you say stuff like bolded in the above. Who in their right mind has EVER mentioned a release of Pickens? Lots of stupid people talk about a trade, but NOBODY is trading for Pickens unless Pickens says so.

Okay, you win. You're right. He sucks. His performance last season was circumstantial and anyone could've done what he did.

I would have been fine with trading Pick and going into the season with Flo as our number 2, especially with MVS as a 3 and Turpin in there. I think Flo would be a good 2 with what I saw from him last season.
Absolutely not. Offense was too good the way it was. Why mess it up.

If GP checks out early on, this guy needs to be WR2. We need to see what his full potential is before figuring out the next man up scenario if issues happen
Why would Pickens check out? He has too much to prove for a huge contract.

I dont get people. Pickens was a top 5 WR in the entire league last year, and you were ready to just send him packing because Flournoy had 1 good game? And people sit in here and want to criticize Jerry for being nuts.
:hammer:

What?
No he did not. Stop making stuff up.

I predict that if Dak throws him the ball, he will have a great season. Unfortunately for Ryan, Dak has a lot of mouths to feed.

I didnt say that at all..... but PRIOR to last season, NOBODY with a clue could be serious if they jumped all over the front office for cutting the guy. He was a 6th round pick and had really been nobody. Now if they cut him during this off season, then you would have some merit to your statement.

Exactly!! People wanting to get rid of Pickens baffles me. Why do you want to rid yourself of one of our top offensive players? I just don't get it. smdh
Pickens doesnt need to be schemed open, he doesnt need a pick to lose his man. Pickens is a matchup NIGHTMARE. Justin Jefferson comes to mind, but name me another WR that is better than Pickens at simply outmuscling your arse and getting the ball in a 1 on 1 matchup? This is exactly why he is perfect in Dallas, because him and Lamb are very different, but both exceptional WRs. Why people are ALWAYS in a hurry to trade super star players for picks is just baffling. You finally hit it big time in the draft (not talking about pickens, but in general), and all you can think of is how many picks you could get for him......smh

That's total nonsense lol Guy had one bad game against DET

You could say "if they check out" about any athlete
How much longer does Jerry run with GP? Tag again, then what. I'm saying that Flo could be a big reason we move on from him after '26

High expectations for Flo, and if he meets them.....makes the GP decision easier. This isn't about me liking him or him being a pro bowler

To me, he did. Are you actually suggesting he gave max effort, game in...game out? Guess I am wrong, right? There was no criticism at all, you are right. There, better?

Flournoy is already the Cowboys WR3 no question.

One of the biggest surprises from a disappointing 2025 season was seeing second-year wide receiver Ryan Flournoy take on a bigger role in the Cowboys offense. Flournoy, a 2024 sixth-round pick out of Southeast Missouri, played in 11 games his rookie year as a role player, but stepped into a much bigger role last season as a key contributor.

With Jalen Tolbert now in Miami and KaVontae Turpin struggling as a receiver the last season or two, Ryan Flournoy is penciled in as the Cowboys WR3, and while some may be writing that in with a pencil, early indications say that should be written in with a permanent marker.

I see high expectations for the Cowboys and I say yeehaw!!, but I remember that the Rams brought in Myles Garrett and the expectation vanishes, before the season even started the Rams had already won the NFC and the Super Bowl.
