This Cowboys receiver has extremely high expectations for 2026

Again, if you see enough that Flournoy can replace Pickens, it means you're going to just have to pay Flournoy. It gets you nowhere.

You're paying two of these guys regardless.
Unless Pickens or Lamb gets hurt, we won't see enough of him to command the $$$ Pickens will eventually get

As long as Lamb and Pickens are healthy and on the field, we will never see the full value of Flounoy. I cannot see a world that GP gets paid either, the value continues to go up, and IF he balls out....he becomes more unaffordable. 2x tag would be foolish
All we can hope for is he shows up in the GP "holdouts" ....and the staff gets a solid look and knows what to do with him...and Dak keeps him in the game.

It's always mor ecomplicated than what it seems. Sometimes the obvious presents itself and sometimes it passes by.

Really pulling for the kid I think he's got skillz.

If GP checks out early on, this guy needs to be WR2. We need to see what his full potential is before figuring out the next man up scenario if issues happen
Or Lamb.

Or maybe Dak elopes to Cabo with Charlotte the night before the opener.

Some of you guys are just hoping and praying for Pickens to implode. All this based on two plays in a single game last year where he didn’t leg it out.

Dude was on fire last season but it’s all about two plays, one of which people can’t even remember.

Nobody is hoping for an implosion, especially me. This is a bit more than 2 dorps, and you know it...it was also a lack of effort at times, for whatever reason he had. Great teams in the NFL have a plan, and as long as GP remains unsigned, we should have an idea of what we have or don't have. The same can be said about every position, of course, but the GP situation is one that nobody knows which way it will go. Pay attention to my posts about GP last season before you accuse me of praying for him to implode.......

It's unfortunate people need to assume things about your history and loyalty. They need to assume things to support their fight against you. It's a real challenge to keep up with them and explain yourself every step of the way.

Yep he is a nice player. So was Cedric Wilson. If they move on from Pickens, they will likely keep Flournoy, if not, there’s no way they can pay any other WR more than the minimum.

Lots of snaps will happen before that decision is due.
Yeah, if Pickens balls extreme and hits All-Pro again, you might keep Pickens and Flournoy. It's going to be an interesting season with all the changes on defense and to see how this WR/RB stuff pans out.

We're in a good position at WR no matter what. We got both Lamb and Pickens for one more season. Flournoy has 1-2 season to show he can be a full-time WR2. If he doesn't, we can still turn to the draft.

But it'll be difficult (expensive) to keep both All-Pro Lamb and All-Pro Pickens considering the salary cap.

Some read one post, and love to do this. A general comment does not a stance make said Yoda, lol

Flourney certainly appears to offer factual proof that he's prepared to take on added responsibility. His experience in games last year were far more than somewhat encouraging. He truly seems to be ready, willing and able to be granted more action throughout the regular season. It's obviously time to call his number more often if the Dallas offense actually wants to qualify for playoff action. He's ready to rock!

That's total nonsense lol Guy had one bad game against DET

You could say "if they check out" about any athlete
Last I checked he checked in for 1420+ yards and ALL PRO... but haters still gotta hate

I dont get people. Pickens was a top 5 WR in the entire league last year, and you were ready to just send him packing because Flournoy had 1 good game? And people sit in here and want to criticize Jerry for being nuts.
Look at our offensive stats we’re the past several years, with only CD as a good wr. Near the top of the league, number 1 a couple years ago with Gallup and Cooks tied as our second wr. We have proven we don’t NEED 2 all pro WRs, and likely won’t be able to afford two….so if we could get something good for him before he becomes a free agent, made our D better, then some of us would be ok with it. It’s not being nuts, it’s being real…..other people SWEAR we NEED two all pro WRs.

Absolutely not. Offense was too good the way it was. Why mess it up.
Depends on what we were offered. We had the number 1 O in the league and Dak led the league with TD passes a couple years ago…..with Gallup and Cooks as our number two….people forget that and think we NEED two all pro WRs or else the think we will suck or something.

I’ll take as many difference makers as we can possibly have. Pickens is a difference maker. Another Kenny Clark?

Flo's got it. He has what they were looking so desperately for in Tolbert. He runs good routes, has great hands and can run-block. I still find it very unsettling that they cut him before the season last year. They got lucky no one else picked him up.
Especially since Tolbert lacks the physical ability to be more than a #3. Should've traded him while he had a little value, right after he had 49 receptions in 2024. Someone would've given up a 3rd, maybe even a 2nd. And this was his ceiling, but Jerry cannot evaluate players so I'm sure he mistakenly thought there was more upside. Dumb.

No idea how someone would give up a second for him if it was so obvious he didn't have the physical ability lol
