This Cowboys Team is Special

Despite some warts on offense, defense, and special teams, a fan that doesn’t love watching this team is pathetic. We have a bunch of young guys who love each other, who love football, who believe in their coach and QB, and who never quit.

  • Fair or unfair, Romo developed the reputation as a choker early on and never fully shook it off despite his great performances. Dak is not the passer Romo was, but he has already, fairly or unfairly, developed the reputation as an ice cold finisher who wins at crunch time no matter his earlier mistakes
  • This team believes in Dak as a finisher, and he believes in himself. All these come back, last second victories this early in his career make everyone around him play better, much like guys felt about Roger Staubach. (No, Dak can’t pass like him, either, but when your team believes in you, they make it happen.)
  • Maybe we win deep into the playoffs; maybe we lose the first game, but I know these guys will play their hearts out every minute, and they are freakin’ fun to watch!
  • If you preferred we lose today because the Giants might drop a spot or two in the draft, you are a freakin’ idiot who will never enjoy the journey with the Cowboys
  • If losing next week results in no appreciation for what this team accomplished and only negative comments about we never should have been in the playoffs at all or we don’t even have a first round pick to fix this awful team, then you are also a very sad person, missing out on one of the more exciting seasons I’ve experienced as a Dallas fan
I love this team and it’s future potential.

Biggest concern right now is the way Cooper carries himself when he’s not rocking the world. His facial expressions, if they reveal his attitude, may explain why he was traded. He seems to lose his fire and focus when something doesn’t go his way....I hope this isn’t a real problem.

Kudos to Beasley for getting through his moping mid season and getting back on the team bus the past few weeks.

Great effort by Gregory, but this defense is entirely different when DLaw is on the field. Pay the man!

Totally disagree with all above. I don’t define special by just wins and losses. I’ve seen Cowboys teams that were quitters, and I’ve seen 13-3 teams lose in first round after a buy. I’ve enjoyed watching this improbable 3-5 team ignore the media and whiny fans and just hang together with full effort. I’ve enjoyed this season more than most, no matter what happens next week.

This team was special in its regular season turnaround after starting 3-5. I’m afraid that might be it though.

The Vikings thought they were a special team too after they had their miracle comeback against the Saints.
We are so "prisoner of the moment."
Just let it play out.

I totally disagree on cooper....he was having a rough day and was frustrated
...you want a player to hold himself accountable and I believe that was what you saw on his face.

Now...had he gone to the sidelines and been dramatic then it's a different story...guy looked like he had a bad day and was pissed at the mistakes he made when he had opportunities

Cooper mopes when he’s not getting ball
Irvin complained
I’d rather see the complaining
