This DE Class is LOADED

Ok Cameron Thomas is like a day to pick at best.
You can get Ebikete on the 2nd day

Walker is going forward will be a 1st rounder.

Johnson is a 1st rounder buy where
Enagbare is borderline at best.
Stay tuned.

No way in hell would spent another 1st round pick, especially near the bottom of the round, on DE. Call it cold feet from the Taco pick or whatever but IMO DE/pass rushers is one of trickest position in the draft coz of one word.....sacks. Fair or not, sacks are the stats they are judged on but you no way of knowing how their college success will translate to the NFL.
You could get TJ Watt this time.

Bingo!

I know recency bias makes us want to draft OL every pick but you gotta hope to address needs in FA and add top talent when you’re on the clock. Just don’t force it especially in round 1.

What does everyone think of Drake Jackson? Haven't watched his film yet, but he is a name I hear thrown around a lot when it comes to 1st round DEs.

Intriguing dude…I think he’ll be one of the better testers at the combine but I think he’s better athlete than football player.

I don’t think he’s a 1st rounder but heck Oweh went early last year.

He’s intriguing as a prospect.

I think he’s a bit of a development guy that will likely be limited to pass rush duties early in his career which is fine unless you’re looking for a 3-down starter from the jump.

That said, he’s the kinda guy that goes in the backend of R1 or early R2 and ends up balling out and either has people asking how he dropped so far down or you never end up hearing about him again.

I think his buzz will increase as we go through the process. I’m interested in seeing his arm length which I bet measures out at 34-35”+.

Agree…I think he’s gonna check all the boxes for athleticism and measurables.

Can somebody like Myjai Sanders give us what Gregory did? I think the answer is yes

Been tracking Sanders since 2020. Not a fan. He looks the part of a freak athlete playing DE but relatively little production in four seasons (38 games); just 2.5 sacks/7 TFL in 14 games this year as a senior. Not a fan.

I started a thread of overrated prospects and had him as my #1 guy. I think he’s a 4th/5th round talent.

Yes, bc teams look at more than just sacks when evaluating him. It’s 2022.
Gregory was very good last yr, people forget he missed 5 games and would of been a 10 sack player which are very valuable.

And was top 10 in the NFL in pass rush win rate late in the year...but he didn't have 10 sacks so he sucks just like Lawrence according to the half the people on here.

He altered 2 games that I remember, Patriots and Washington. He is a legitimate edge rusher who has 10 plus sack potential. Think many are looking at just his sack numbers and his poor postseason penalties, but he is a heck of a talent and hope they keep him.

Yup…dudes a beast. Unfortunately some people only look at a box score and measure success only by sacks.

Daniel Jeremiah with 7 edge players in the top 25 of his recent big board. Love it.

Per Dane Brugler:

Main takeaway from 2 days of practice: DL has dominated.

- Jermaine Johnson the best player here
- Travis Jones bullying anyone/everyone
- Kingsley Enagbare consistently winning
- Several pass rushers flashing in a great way (Ebiketie, Luketa, Myjai Sanders, Dominique Robinson)

Winfrey the DT is a better DE the more then half of those names

The dude from OK? I like him and view him as a comparable prospect to Gallimore who we got in the 3rd. Not sure I’d take him over half the list, maybe just a few.
