This Defense is better

It's crazy we still have receivers running wide open, but the defense is so much more aggressive its the turnovers that are making the defense. This is despite being light on sacks too.

getting turn overs and playing good defense are two different things. We are getting turn overs but the overall defense is still a hot mess. No pressure from the DT's up front. Run or pass. Safeties' played good as did Diggs. Defensive ends are worthless. Parson is not a DE. <Backers were decent. All our worthless GM has to do is figure out how to get a DT and or a DE. Draft, trade, kidnap. I just wish the workers he pay money to was as worthless as he is as a GM. That would be great Karma.

Did you watch the game? really it looked just like last years D and at times worse
They gave up 17 points to a really good offense. It's not even close to being like last year. The same would be giving up 30 plus to the Chargers.

You are just over reacting like most fans that want to make silly statements for likes

I was hesitant to compliment them last week because I wasn't sure if it was us or if the Bucs were just rusty. This week confirmed it. They still can improve and they aren't all-pros, but they still played very well for a team missing 3 starters.

The difference is we have a few play makers now and we have a good DC.

We got lucky with a lot of stuff. Their offense was penalized a lot and we got lucky on a few of those. Then the pick on the endzone was lucky.

But they got it done. I think Quinn confused them a lot.

I wouldn't call it lucky. You commit a penalty it should be called, period. As far as the pick i thought they played that well too. Was in the right spot to make a play and did. Not luck with turnovers when they did it both games this season

Its not better by any means, its just the same, they cant cover, they never put pressure on the qb just pathedic
Lol, Parsons had 8 pressures by himself. That hasn't been done by a rookie since 2019. Your ignorant opinion is pathetic. Are you drunk? Did you watch the game?

You call it whatever you want. I watched every drive by the chargers praying that they would screw something up and they did half the time.

Better is not hard to achieve if looking at last year, they're still bad though. At least they are getting turnovers. That will help but they still give up 3rd and long's like they WANT TO or something and half the players try to hit hard instead of making fundamental tackles.. it allows teams to gain big yard chunks. They have a lot of work to do to be anything other than average to below average and this game was mostly about luck/penalties, or the other team doing dumber stuff than they were. Long way to go IMO.

The defense has clearly gotten better but it needs to improve a lot more if we’re going to be a championship caliber team. The Chargers were controlling the ball in the second half but penalties did them in. Penalties cost them at least 10 points. They pretty much beat themselves today.

Sometimes (not all the time) penalties are caused because the other team does things to mess up your timing/performance. It can be cumulative.

Our defense is much better than last year. Let's hope they improve.

Agreed . Huge difference from last year.

Maybe those starters shouldn’t be starters after all. This probably deserves its own thread, but Jayron Kearse came to play today. It’s just one game but to me he deserves an opportunity to replace Donovan Wilson.

And Parsons is an absolute animal. I’ve just never seen that before, where a rookie linebacker comes in week 2 and plays defensive end, not only well but makes the play of the game to save a touchdown.
