This defense is fun

I was in middle school / high school during the 90's Cowboys football run. I know Emmitt, Irvin, and Aikman, the triplets get al the attention but it was that defense which really set the team apart.

The offense set the pace, got up a score or two (okay, today the D did it today) and then the defense could put their ears back and get after the QB and make the other team try to score.

Haley, Tolbert, Casillas, Jeffcoat, Henning, Jones, Lett, Maryland, with the fast LB corp and great DB;s, Everett, Woodson, Brown, and Smith. These guys really made the difference !

I'm finally feeling that we have a defense that can achieve what the earlier teams could do, shut down a game.

This really is a fun group to watch !

I too remember those days as it was the first team I watched, and I honestly think that this is a better group. 2022 is an offensive era, allowing 10 points a game is unheard-of

This defense is in historical company with the early 70’s Doomsday defense. But in 70’s and 90’s they both had offenses to compliment.

All we need is a little more balance in offensive production putting these games away earlier. Hopefully Prescott will be able to deliver.

Yeah they've been fun to watch. I love a good defense, so it makes even more fun to watch when it's your favorite team. There are some plays where I am amazed at how quick they get into the backfield and start pressuring the QB.

I have been concerned about the run defense. But the last six quarters have been good. Philly loves to run. That will really test this defense.

This defense is changing how I watch Cowboys games. I used to see the opposing QB take the snap and then focus on the receivers or backs running downfield as the camera pans out.

Now I just focus on the offensive line and wait for Parsons and Company to create a pileup on the quarterback. Matthew Stafford is HURTING right now.

The NFL will never be like that again so we should just stop comparing. FA leveled the playing field.

I knew the Defense would be better this year but this has been a little beyond expectations.

With that said I think they can be even better with a little more time and if the offense can score TD's instead of FG's. If the defense wants to better the offense needs to start helping the defense. No team will abandoned the game plan if the score is 3-0, or 6-0, or even 9-0.

Go up 14 - 0 with this defense and the Defense will only improve.

But you gotta admit Defense is fun no matter what era you are in.

We are in every game with this defense. We basically score 17 points on average and we win every game.

This is “No Fly Zone” and key part of Doomsday III.

Last time we had a defense we could count on was the 92-95 era.

I get that no comparisons ever work, but It was 30 years ago when I remember sitting and watching a Cowboys defense win the game. Look, when was the last time we had a strong streak where the D could control the other team ?
