I think Sean Lee is getting replaced by sure tackler Leighton Vander Esch.

He is his replacement for sure. Jerry needs to find a job for Lee when he retires. LB coach!

In a thread about a month ago I talked how the defense had played well in the last third of the 2017 season. Most everyone here was quite skeptical about that, despite the numbers.

Clearly they’ve gone another step in the right direction.

I'm still skeptical. Combination of it still being so early in the season that we don't know how good the two offenses we faced really are, and me just being superstitious in general about these kinds of things anyway, let alone after so long with so many bad defenses.

Looks and feels like a very good defense right now though.

Absolutely shut down Saquan Barkley.

14 catches for 80 yards
0 TDs

Yes, he made a lot of defenders miss, but he is a special talent and they still held him to only 108 yards on 25 touches. Even with the weapons of OBJ and Engram (pretty much shut both them down also with the exception of a late TD by Engram due to busted coverage) the defense was able to recover and contain Barkley.

Very impressive performance from the defense and I'll take those numbers every time we play Barkley.

Thought Barkley looked good. But the Cowboys defense looked much much better. So nice to see a a Cowboys defense carrying the team. I dont know if I remember such a thing happen in my 33 years

Surprised the Giants seem to be this bad. They have two of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the NFL.

Obj has lost it...are you kidding... no separation at all. How many targets did he have and nothing. They should release him like we did Dez. They need to have a wr that that can not demand the ball and let the qb let the flow of the game dictate where he throws the ball and not have to be so worried about forcing it to one guy.

when a RB catches that many passes, it means the defensive back field did a great job and the offense was forced to dump off a lot. that's an average of less than 7 yards per catch...I take that all day....

Defense giving up 14.5 PPG so far, I blame our offense's ineptitude for our 1-1 record.

That is even deceiving......the ten points last night was after we went into prevent defense mode. We could have had a shutout last night. That was a dominant defensive performance.
