What the hell is wrong with you people? Does it make you feel GOOD to come on the board and spew vitriol and negativity? I realize that we aren't ES with the 'our team can do no wrong' attitude, but Jeebus, people! Constructive criticism is one thing...happily crowing that so-and-so sucks is worthless.

I perused the board for about ten minutes before my neck and shoulders were hard as rocks and my stomach was roiling with acid and this morning's coffee. You buggers are bipolar. I have been coming here a couple of years and holy cow, it's just getting worse!

Had the Boys won 40-0 , they would be saying, "this is just a pre-season game" or "the Chargers didn't even have Tomlinson, Gates, Fouts, Jefferson, etc in the game" or "this is the post-steroids Merriman out there".

As far as I'm concerned as long as we make it through the preseason with no injuries, we know what our starters can do, add in a couple solid draft picks and we're looking even better.It was the first game, lets see how the guys respond before everyone thinks the sky is falling. :starspin

The special teams were not very special and I worry a little about Brad as our number two but the positives I saw last night such a Felix and Austin and Thomas have me very excited.

I think some of the criticism is warranted, some of it is not. Whatever the case, I hope our team learns from its mistakes from this game. There were enough to go around... and there are a few players who I'd really like to see step up their game.

You're dead on point, it's amazing of the response last nites game is getting. It's about our 1st teams playing well then evaluating the young guys. Our 1st teams totally DOMINATED the Chargers on both sides of the ball. We are just fine!!!

I certainly don't think any players should be cut after just 1 preseason game. But most on here have a legit right to complain about ST; what we saw tonight is same thing we saw so much of last year & it cost us in the playoff game. I'd sure like to know why our players so frequently out of their lanes in run backs or miss tackles, whatever.

The reality is that our 2nd team didn't look very good late in the first quarter or in the 2nd quarter. Carpenter didn't play up to what I expected but then the Chargers were scoring so often due to our mistakes that my head was on a swivul.

For what it's worth, I do expect to see serious improvement against the Broncos cause we will have 1-2 real scrimmages against them before we play them. If it's anything like last year, the Cowboys will dominate.
